Will truly be glad when group 8 is over, with the constant subs and Backside's incessant bragging (you can use the assault odds script to plan your attacks, we get it) it's been one long slog. Slightly worried i've over carpetbagged it but should be safe now.

Sorry for the slow updates, I can only say that they are coming slowly but surely. I thank you for your patience. Also I believe that a summer break may be in the coming for round 3. I will be away for most of July, so keeping up a constant pace may be next to impossible for me. So I offer a summer break. I will notify round 3 players the first week in August when the next round will begin. I hope this does not enrage to many of you and I hope you may welcome the break too. Of course I will be finishing the scores so you will all be aware of your status, even though most of you have figured out your finishing scores already. Again I thank you for your patience and I hope I haven't totally blown everybody's expectations of this tournament.

I'll second that!

It is marvellous how you keep such a big tournament ongoing.

A break will allow us to get our breath back, and to get our ongoing games back to manageable levels, at least till round 3 starts (for those lucky or good enough to make it!)

could you update 2R2?
I'm down to 10 active games and would like to know if it's still posible for me to reach 4th.

don't worry about the late updates, Im sure it's a lot of work and we can't expect you to put all your rl stuff on hold just for us :P

just wondering, why don't you recruit a co-organizer to take half the work? less work for you and faster updates for us, in my eyes thats a win win.

Take your break and enjoy it. Most of us will still be here when you get back, and ready for the next round.

It's a tremendous amount of work for you!

Me too,

I've played crap, cards have fallen very badly for me, Magneto Acolyte is the slowest player I've ever played with and Backside, well his username says it all. I hope he comes up against Colson in the next round.

I guess our group got lucky. Several really good players, no jerks, moved right along. Hope for more of the same in the future rounds. I wouldn't mind not seeing Colson till the finals if I'm fortunate to make it that far!

I'm going to take this quote, wrap it up, and tuck it in my pocket for a later date, dan! In all seriousness, it was a great group to play in. Good luck to those that were eliminated...and lukewarm luck to those that weren't ;)

Yeah, our group has been great as well. Lots of high ranks - giving me lots of points :).

The only part that sucked was the guy that deadbeated out of all 150 games right after he joined them.

Oh, and thanks for the break Dazoot, I'm traveling a lot in July as well and was worried about my sitters.

Here is 2R5G's standings through 139 games:

angola - 792
topper - 786
overlander - 782
regan - 777
lunatic - 749
nikita - 723
kawe - 566
Highest rank: 48th. Highest score: 3,384. Feb. 9, 2014.

Thanks Dazoot for posting up to date scores for Group 2R2.

Well done to the qualifiers, and hard luck to the four who did not make it.

It has been a fun contest!

Okay..all groups have been updated and the ones that are through to round 3 have been marked. I must say there are still some very close decisions to be made yet. Thanks for your patience. Those of you that are close... fight on, it isn't over till it's over.

It seems I didn't have to worry about taking a break as no group has finished all their games. Also some of the games that are taking a long time to complete are surprising. Hive is stuck with everyone but it will definately bring the tacticians to the front. Group 8R2 is the only group that still hasn't finalized their Round Three contenders. So keep up the fine play as Round Three is shaping up to be a real battle.

Well, then I`ll probably have to drop out of the tourney. :( My sitters were upset enough last time I left them 100+ games and I don`t want to do that again.

Well, we`ll see when the tourney starts.
