to reply to the car part, there are laws that already punish me for that part why put more on... I could get charged with DUI, reckless driving, pay for all of your car and all of mine. Its pretty fucked up for a person who gets a dui that is shitty enough.

Rush Limbaugh was talking about volcanos pollute the atmosphere more then man could ever hope to do. I'm not saying "screw the enviorment", but the enviornmental wacko's are tring to scare people into thinking that mans pollution will bring the end of life on earth. As for an earlier post saying carbon dioxide was the cause of global warming...ALL plantlife takes in CO2 as food and then gives off H2O (air). So without CO2 (which we breath out) all plantlife would end, thus ending the air supply in turn killing every living thing on earth.

Rush Limbaugh = Michael Moore. I think they cancel each other out. Each talks the same amount of bollocks. In this case, Rush Limbaugh is utterly and completely wrong. Volcanoes spew ash into the air, not lead fumes or CO2 or any other industrial byproducts. Their contribution to the planet's climate is negligible, if that.

YES CO2 is necessary for photosynthesis. But there was plenty to go round before we started pumping it into the sky from billions and billions of engines, factory and cars. And while it may not bring about the apocalypse, global warming is going to make sea levels rise (by melting polar ice), flooding cities and land all over the world; it is going to turn swathes of the planet into desert; it is going to upset ecological balances the world over, making countless species extinct; and there will be less freshwater to go around. It is going to suck. Bigtime. It shouldn't even be a political issue and it's a shame it has become one...

EG: the phrase 'environmental wackos'. Probably used by rush limbaugh many, many times. But why does a hugely biased DJ have more clout with you than the overwhelming majority of biologists, ecologists and meteorologists who have come to these conclusions over the past 20 years?

How about, it's a PLANT and what gives the government the right to arrest me for growing a PLANT!? It's my God given right. Republicans should understand this more than anyone.

Two more points:

1) If you're getting this from Rush, he's a drug addict as well as a hypocrite

2) Alchohol and caffeine could easily be called "gateway" drugs.
