Unfortunately in any tournaments there are drop offs. Especially in the size of 100 people when we started. So having 10 people drop-off makes it 10% of the original players.

Anyhow, the replacement was found, furthermore, it was found within the given timeframe. So you didn't wait any longer, then expected. Most of the replacements were done in the timely manner. So I am not sure where this frustration is coming from...

I'm sure he doesn't andrew... nothing you can do about people dropping out.

Blitz - I know it's frustrating, but I think it's always going to be a fact of life in a long-running tournament that players drop out, not much anyone can do about it - penalising is an option although that punishes the remaining partner more than the drop-out, and might encourage both partners to drop out rather than just one.

So long as replacements are organised in a timely fashion, the impact should hopefully be fairly minimal on the remaining players. Andrew seems to be doing a good job of making sure this is taken care of :)

No, not at all andrew, you are doing a super job, in fact, of all the tourneys i ever joined, i like yours the best, just frustrating when so many quit is all, i am mad at no one. i am suggesting that maybe in the future if temas could have a sub poste din advance or if any team quits during the tourney, maybe a minus 0.1 or minus 0.2, and if their teammate gets affected, oh well, that was there fault for teaming with them in the 1st place? just a suggestion? what you think?

The most of games are started now. We are still waiting for 1 game from round 1 to finish though :( but it is going to end soon.

Regarding with penalty. I agree with GK completely.

Unless lackatack can give me a way to strip off some rank points from the players, i cannot really penanlize them.

There is one thing which I can do though. And I said it already. None of the drop-offs are allowed into my future tournaments. That is the only way i can really punish the GUILTY party.

Apprently at least 2 teams from this list have never received a PM about last 5 games to join.

Even though I am pretty sure that i have sent all the PMs, I will void the penalty, if you haven't received the PM.

I will void all the penalty because there was some glitch in the PMing.
