unit_2 no offense but you have contacted at least 10-15 people to help you on this map in various forms, either by doing the entire graphics or parts of it or for doing the xml. all you do is keep rejecting valid requests people have in this thread.
i have NOT rejected anyone, i have asked them and they all say no, i also did not sontect 10-15 people, more like 3-5.
the tiny terits issue has been brought up many times and you haven't given a fix yet. same goes for the army circles or the names or the background
Can you suggest what territorys need put together because i don't see what mroe needs put together, the back ground Tevannia needs to do when he has some time.
and as for lanyards "just fixing" the xml for you i think you're underestimating what he's doing. doing all the army coords and correcting all your mistakes is much more than "just fixing".
I didn't make any mistakes, i just need him to fix the coords, i tryed 3 times and i couldn't get them in the right place.
this map has started in september last year. that's 4 months ago. in 4 months you have time to learn photoshop learn xml and produce 2-3 maps. instead you chose to keep asking other people to do your job. why?
Do you have $600 to spare? i'm only 12 and i DO NOT have that kind of money. I know how ot do the XML but it all changed right after i got it done. I only need help with the graphics because gimp is not good enough, why don't you do your graphics?
at this rate japan will probably never be quenched because you keep refusing feedback and the updates are very rare. not to mention you change the graphic artists like socks.
I am?? and updates are only rare because Telvannia has lots of stuff to do right now and when he gets a chance he will work on it to get it up with everybodys feedback.
i as well as others have told you countless times what you need to do to become a map maker, people have offered their help, tutorials can be found on the web as well as here and i'm sure that any map maker would spend a few minutes showing you this or that and help you move things along. all you need to do is show interest and try as hard as you can to do your best. there's no quick way to get yourself on a map. you must work hard and learn. asking people to do your job is not the solution and trust me you'll get much more satisfaction when you'll make a map and you'll know that's YOUR creation not the result of 10-15 people working.

I told you similar in PM - you have to do 1 at a time until you get them right...
Then move onto the next... - Why don't you try and fix it now... see how you get on... post up the results - and we can tell you what's good and what needs tweaking...

i don't want to do the XML until the map is fixed, because we are proble going to take some territorys out, though i will try.

If you practice now - you will be able to do the XML later...

seriously unit, if u have to ask people what to do to reduce terts, then u seriously need to wait a few more years before u try map making. from what i can see, ur too much of a kid to accept when u do somethign wrong, yet ur always begging others to do everything for u.
reducing terts isnt hard. u just need to sit down, examine the map closely and logically think about waht terts are redundant on teh map and which ones are unnecessary and removal of any terts that wont drastically affect gameplay.
also, from a first glance, i seriously thought this was the small map. no way the small will be readible.

yes you have rejected feedback. and don't make me count all the people you've pmd for help. it's not 3-5 it's 10-15

do an army placement test. then look at the image and you'll see all the terits that can't accomodate triple digits

actually you made mistakes. want me to tell you exactly how many? there were a lot. and as for coord fixing if you tried 3 times and failed then try again and again until you do it properly. trial and error. practice makes perfect. do you think lanyards does them by snapping fingers?

if you think gimp is not good enough then ask telvannia what he uses to make maps. you'll be surprised to see japan is made in gimp

and btw how do you know gimp isn't good? have you mastered all it's functions and decided it isn't good?
and i have no idea what you mean when you say i don't do my graphics. i do all the graphics on my maps.

yes you are refusing, you have been advised to do several modifications like reducing the number of terits and you bring no valid reason for refusing them. and if telvannia is dealing with all the feedback and doing all the graphics, lanyards is doing 90% of the xml, and several other people (10-15) have also helped you, i come and ask again, why is your name on the map? i mean if at least the idea was yours but japan has been started and proposed many times before you even joined the site.

map making sometimes involves doing a thing 10 times until you get it right. saying i won't do this or that because i will probably change it later doesn't work.
many times i have made updates fully knowing they won't remain like that. heck, i've even done updates just to show people a certain colour doesn't work because they weren't convinced by simple words.
jako is right. you're too young, wait a bit, do some research watch how other maps evolve, get involved in the foundry by providing good feedback, practice your skills and then do a map by yourself

don't quit. keep working on it but this time do your own work. you said you have gimp, telvannia is using gimp. ask him to show you around, google gimp tutorials on the internet, practice and show us your work not the work of other people.
let's assume telvannia bails on you now and takes the image with him (it's his since he created it) what will you do? go and ask somebody else to do it for you? how will you be able to call it YOUR map when most of the work was done by others?

Unit_2 has been the driving force behind the creation of this map from day 1 - this is his map and his thread. If he finds people who are willing to help in on this, more power to him - all CC maps are collaborative efforts to some degree. As the mapmaker he has the right to decide which suggestions to implement and which to disregard, but like any mapmaker he has to keep in mind that unpopular decisions may delay the progress of the map.
I'd like to see the conversation that is not direct constructive feedback on the map itself come to a close, and I will PM some individuals to that end.
Now, get back to work Unit!

not wanting to sound like im challenging ur authority or anything, but most of, if not all, the maps that u implied having help from other sources comes from maybe 1 or 2 other people. however, this map, like DiM has said, has around 10-15 people working on it, not merely adding suggestions or posting constructive criticism.
when this map was started on day 1, it was 1 of like 5 other maps that unit2 was supposedly working on at the time. i'l acknowledge the painful truth that he may have started it, but he most definitely did not drive it forward as u have said, nor do i think he will be the one that finishes it.

Ok, Telvannia came up on this game play, see if you guys like it, there is also the one w/o the new game play so tell us which one you like better:
New Game Play(Graphics need alot of polishing):
Update list for new game play:
-Now you start wiht a Shrine and the territory that the Shrine is in and the rest are neutral.
Same old game play:
Update list for same old game play:
-Fixed the territory problem(if you still have a problem with the sizes please let me know and which ones you still think need combined)
-Shrines can no longer attack each other and now give a bonus instead.
-Changed the bonus for holding the orange and green islands.
-Changed the name "Yama." to "Yaman".
There is now 41 territorys and 8 conts.
