Let's everyone knock of the flaming of eye84free. It's one thing to say that in your opinion, to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, he should have recused himself; a sentiment I agree with. It's another thing altogether to start trashing the guy as some have done. As I said earlier, I doubt it will go 24 hours being locked - let Admin handle it.

who is flaming eye? he locked the thread and people are questioning why. since when did not agreeing with someone or questioning someone's action become "flaming"? we all like eye and many of us have played with and against him, questioning his locking of a thread is not flaming him. i find it interesting that the votes have doubled in the past week since the C&A case has been reopened... anyway, i'm sure it will be opened again...-the black jesus
p.s.-the soaps may have been cancelled, but the blitz thread will be back after a few scheduled messages...

This is what I was referring to owen. As I said, I disagree with the move, especially who it was coming from, but lowering the debate to the mudslinging that these posts contain only furthers the notion (held by some) that this is some sort of witch-hunt.

i still don't see anything worthy of a lock, and neither did 4 of the 4 mods i spoke with last night after it occurred... the fact that eye is in the same clan, and that the derailing was done by blitz and his "defenders" and the mod that locked the thread, it is beyond questionable... however, i do agree that it needs to stay on topic and civil. however, that thread/discussion was in no way out of hand or turning into a "flame fest"...-the black jesus

That I'm not disagreeing with you on, man. But even you can agree that we should maintain a civil discourse. Not give anyone reason to suggest a locking, right?
And I also agree that it is beyond questionable - truth be told, I was nearly as upset when I saw who locked it as I was with that "local precinct" comment made by another authority figure. Others are upset too - I'm just saying, keep the complaints clean.
But really, you and I are on the same page here.

literally and figuratively... i, among others have sent pm's to people that have flamed and baited in that thread. we are lucky that andy was willing to listen to the complaints and reopen the case to allow all the info to be offered up. the fast lock on the first thread prevented this, and in the time between threads more was unearthed and it became even more seemly... i am not saying anyone is guilty of anything, but it really deserved a closer and more thorough look. anyway, everyone should remember the last lock that occurred before they post in the C&A thread... people are obviously interested, because the chatter moved back to this thread and the vote total has steadily increased... anyway...-the black jesus

its real simple my post would have never been posted if the C&A post was not locked by a impartial mod that obviously admitted he was in the wrong for baiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this was THROTA plan all along protect there own were getting to close to the truth that our proclaimed best ever (at least in his own eyes and the eyes of all his throta lackeys) player is a CHEATER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: real bad results in c and a
i'm not sure why eye's getting a hard time over it. if anyone else finds further evidence, why not send it to admin via pm / e ticket, then copy and paste it in here? assuming said person is really that eager to have our half-sentient mob dribble all over it.
had i been wise, i would have seen that her simplicity cost her a fortune

Because C&A reports are for gathering evidence. Using other tools (PMs, pigeon mail) is an overwork. Because that evidence might be helpful for other users. Because this way it is set in stone and cannot be neglected. Because it can be addressed later to base your logic on this evidence.
More reasons?

Re: real bad results in c and a
well from what i can gather there are basically 2 people actually gathering evidence and 1 person rebutting. the other 90% is illegible, catty, or downright unhelpful.

true, poor Blitz is the victim of multiple flaming and baiting, because of what? because of so much damn envy of other players who cannot beat him on the board so rather spend their time to beat him off the board.
his responses and writing facts about his innocence (in locked thread) sounds to me more valid than accusing facts and therefore I think he is not guilty in this issue. unfortunately, accusing facts has a lot of loud supporters, so neutral observer can conclude that he is guilty for sure, without real reading and measuring all the facts.
IMO warning is the highest punishment that he can get because only his mistakenly joining games for jobi is proven, while his attention to gain unfair benefit with that is not proven.
sadly, but I have to say that he is only guilty because he is Blitz, as everyone other with the same things done like he did would be forgotten and let it go long ago.

Excellent post.
And for those that don't understand, Warning is the 1st step on the escalated disciplinary ladder for minor or major infractions, and is the proper punishment for everything except for points dumping and in order to be found guilty of that Blitz's INTENT would have to be proven or obvious. It isn't. It wasn't.
eye84free locking that troll/flame/bait/witch hunt thread was proper. It will help prevent the need of even more warnings being issued to the outspoken posters.

At first I though josko was sarcastic in his post but then, as I followed reading it, I realized it's an old good josko post.

+1 to the voice of reason to jefjef and josko.ri. I just can't help myself. brilliant.
Now keep adding posts people, management may not do as you like, but they do listen if its loud enough.
Blitz's reputation in blitzed, but if even a point reset cannot harm him permanently, then i guess he will live through this, if he wants too..
Also I am interrested in the outcome of the investigation. I am wondering if, like in other cases, the final reasoning and data will be kept privatly though. There is obvious interest, but privacy should count for something.. right?
Its a rollorcoaster what is happening here, hard to get a handle on, this is one of those many days, that I am glad not the be a C&A mod.. Keep up the good work lads, please...

Meh. This is no different than the KORT mod locking the KORT-TOFU thread. People want to protect those they have a vested interest in.

I just want to say that I'm disappointed that C&A thread got locked. I feel like with AndyDufresne making an executive decision to personally re-open and oversee the continued investigation that nobody but him should have been locking that thread. I truly don't think that eye84free locked it out of favoritism to Blitzaholic as I believe eye84free to be an upstanding type of guy, but for the sake of maintaining the appearance of avoiding all evil I think the only person who should be locking or unlocking that thread is AndyDufresne as at the moment all continued legitimate discussion and gathering of important data has been put to a halt by the locking of said thread.
Yes, some posters were getting a bit distracted in there, I'll admit that, but now where are people supposed to put the information they are researching on trying to pinpoint dates, actions, and so forth?
Unlock the thread and deal with the distracted parties on an individual basis so that the proper discussion can continue.

it is temporarely locked, it is not permanently locked. it gives people a chance to cool down. It would be a shame to loose players over posting heated comments in the forum that cannot go unpunished. Nobody wants there, read me NOBODY.. least of all the mods.
Just please be patient, the thread will be back soon enough.
Also the thread locked down does not mean the investigation is over. again keep calm and prepare your statements for when it opens.

i agree completely....
people who are getting out of hand should be dealt with individually...to lock that thread when the original idea of it was team cc reaching out to community looks pretty bad

Then please accept my apologies, I thought I was informed you had. Shame that whoever did close it didn't follow the rules and state who/why so that I didn't think this in the first place.
In this case, then, even if eye locked the thread for reasons other than being a member of THOTA, he has to realize that the perception of impropriety is just as bad. There's a reason why people temporarily "step down" from rulings they have a vested interest in when they fear it might create a bad perception of a biased judgment.
