oops. fell asleep at the wheel there, so to speak...
here. Sorta easy one/
Who are tied for the record for the longest playin NFL history, and what were the circumstances?
/Edited for forgetting that the same thing happened twice in two years

Heston, Hester... guy for the Bears.
if you're going for any return...
I'm thinking of the blocked field goal return. Giants, was it? Attempted a field goal, blocked by Chicago, Hester (think it's Hester) caught it, delayed, then exploded out of the end zone, raced down the sidelines to score 6 for da Bears.
All of the top of my head, most probably wrong.
Edited to say that's my guess for one of them.

I want to say that one of them is Ed Reed, who returned an INT 107 yards for a touchdown a couple of years ago...

Hester's one... 108 yard missed field goal return.

My problem is I don't know many return men. Other than Hester and Eddie Drummond, of the losing Lions... But I'm thinking maybe the other guy played for the Chiefs? Is that possible?

by spurgistan
nope. the Chiefs do have good return men, but the two recordholders both did it while playing for the Monsters of the Midway (the Bears)

sorry, guess this one was too specific. The Bears have had kick returners take missed field goals back 108 yards both of the last two seasons, setting and then tying the record for longest NFL play. Nathan Vasher did it two years ago, and Devin HEster did it this year. Serbia, I award this one to you, as you got Hester right, which was the original question before I remembered Vasher.

I never would have guessed Vasher...
So ok, here's my question, from the NHL, of course.
This season, two goaltenders, Martin Broduer of the New Jersey Devils, and Roberto Luongo of the Vancouver Canucks are both chasing the record for wins in a single season by a goaltender. Who currently owns that record?
(I'll give a hint right off the bat, 'cause I'm cool like that. It was the 1973-74 season, and the goalie won 47 games for the Philadelphia Flyers.)
