Turns out the reporter was blind.

oops

Yeah, except Bush didn't know he was blind and the reporter didn't care.

"I'm not offended, I never told him I was blind and never expected him to know that I was blind"

It's a non-issue man. Give it up.

Of course he doesn't care. He doesn't want to be kicked out of the press corps :P

Maybe that's because Clinton has finished his presidency and Bush is still in office. Wait until a few years into the next president, which will, I'll guarantee, be a democrat. Check the history books then, after Bush has had time to alter anything he doesn't like.

I sure hope that it isn't a democrat, because that democrat will more than likely be Hillary Clinton. If the Democratic candidate isn't a total bitch hypocrite like her, then i might vote Dem. I hope John McCain runs, i'd vote for him even if he threatened to stab me if I voted for him.

I wouldn't bet on it. Especially if Hillary is the Democratic nominee.

I'm not sure about Hilary being the first woman president, but think about it, once this country has a woman president...which, it's about time and Hillary's got a good shot at it, then it opens the door for the US' first black president. Which this country desperately needs.

Dude, this country will never have a black president.

There are too many old white people who still remember the idea of seperate drinking fountains, plus the fact that the "black man" still induces fear in even the most accepting white man.

Why does this country "deparatly need" a black president? Do they posses better leadership qualites? We desparately need a good commander in cheif regardless of race or gender.

oh, where is Margareth Thatcher when you really need her?

I disagreed with her in many things - but at least she was a strong and formidable state leader. She really deserved the "title" leader.

Today, I find it hard to find any state leaders that implement real leadership. Its all to wishywashy and backroom politics on the (often secret) agenda - whether conservative or liberal.

Its mostly about enforcing power nowadays to gain short term goals - not implementing power for the better of mankind in a longer perspective.

Almost makes me miss the Sovjetunion - they at least was a garantee for the west to implement some real power and leadership, not just running after oil or other natural resources.

(just thought it all became to much US here - must balance it with some more universal perspective as well :D )

lol - oki jay - take your best shot at China. I dare you
They are going to make the old Sovjetunion (if you think about "enemies" that is) look like a mastodon when they are finsihed growing (if they will ever finish)... talk about some real economic power! Wow.
Just give them 10-15 years down the road and they will pretty much decide everything from oilprices, goldprices to interest rates - everywhere.
When China booms - the world booms. When China stagnates - the world stagnates. This will be the tune some years from now.

And their prime weapon isn't presiscion bombing or fancy weaponry - its economics and finances. Much more scary than some old tanks in the former Eastern Block if you ask me.
