Thread Praising The Fuzzy Pengui

Post by pimpdave »

Seriously, no other mod makes me laugh when posting the reason(s) why a thread is locked, merged, edited, or whatever.

I just wanted to publicly shout that out. Pengui, you're the coolest hall monitor of them all.

I know, I know, probably sounds like brown nosing, and I fully expect this thread to be considered off topic and merged with something else and probably result in me getting a ban or something. But it needed to be said. You elicited a belly laugh from me for your statement of hating World Standards Day.

Keep up the great work guys.

owenshooter wrote:happy turkey day to all our canadian friends!!! i suppose there shall be a ton of missed turns due to
tryptophan overdoses all over the northern reaches of north america... anyway, here is a bit of knowledge for all of our canadian brethren to use when they are searching for an excuse to explain their missed turns today on canadian turkey day:

Turkey does have the makings of a natural sedative in it, an amino acid called tryptophan. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, meaning that the body can't manufacture it. The body has to get tryptophan and other essential amino acids from food. Tryptophan helps the body produce the B-vitamin niacin, which, in turn, helps the body produce serotonin, a remarkable chemical that acts as a calming agent in the brain and plays a key role in sleep. So if you eat a lot of turkey, your body will produce more serotonin and you will feel calm and want a nap, thus missing your turns on Conquer Club.

I get the same effect from eating too many ribs.

So we should expect all you Americans to deadbeat in November, then? ;)

Not me. I probably won't be in a game to deadbeat out of.

Well...we usually eat turkey, perogies, cabbage rolls, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, etc. Drink beer and/or wine. And we also watch football all day. So you tell me? I have never been to an American Thanksgiving dinner.

Sounds pretty similar. Not so much the cabbage rolls but everything else.

I know when the world will end. But I can't tell anybody because it would destroy the universe and since the world would be destroyed before it was supposed to then that would destroy the universe again and having the universe blow up twice would just suck.

Wait, really? I know the rules of soccer very well, and can follow the game just fine, and I'm an American. Do all Europeans really not understand the game?

To be fair soccer is a lot more straightforward. One play in football often has no similarities to another.

That is true.

The equivalent of every thread in a forum being crumpled together.

I kind of imagine that this is what the Longest Thread and/or spamalot would look like if everyone in the OT forums posted there.
