Times like this, I kinda wish I had nag's reputation and could claim that I was drunk...I guess it was in an effort to get this game moving. We're on page 25 and it's still day one. When day one stretches on for too long, interest can be lost. I feel that getting to a lynch now is better than waiting a few more days [real days, not game days]

Just my opinion. In light of ani being wrong, I'll unvote for now. FOS ani for trying to get salubri lynched.

So you'd claim you were drunk as an excuse, if you had the reputation? Yet this would in fact be a complete fabrication as you would be in fact sober and hence you wish you had the reputation to get away with potentially lying... you want to lie as an excuse for your actions. If you followed that, my evaluation is that that is very scummy.

:? So TWO just flat out lied?

And as for that part about lynching Salubri, if you're really trying to get a quick lynch, how about going after the guy who has 12 votes rather then 2.

Which is better, the quickest lynch or the lynch with the best odds? Actually, it looks like there aren't really any leads. So if you're going to lynch someone just for convenience's sake, you'd be correct in saying I have the most votes currently on me.

I wished I had the reputation because it would make for a better [if less honest] defense. Without said reputation, though, I resorted to the worst possible defense in CC mafia history: honesty.

Yes, I did say that I wished I could lie, but I never said that I did. I wasn't paying attention when I voted. I just trusted what ani said. I've got one hell of a headache today and that combined with the extremely loud tv in the next room made me want to get out of the room as fast as I could. I didn't feel like fact-checking what he said.

Now I've elaborated on what I said earlier. This will most likely be perceived as "grasping at straws" or "backtracking". Once someone's accused of either or both of those, anything that they say is just more proof of their guilt.

Heh. Now TWO's going through the same machine I've just been ground (almost) to death in.

Alright, this day has gone on long enough. You have roughly three days to decide on what to do. I will give a vote count in the morning, and give you a exact time limit then.

Also, for the record, if you choose to vote someone to 'f*ck with the mod' the mod will f*ck with you.

I dont think it is a great idea to lynch Dito or Exile since the mod said this :?

Some perverts might purposfully join the bandwagon though.

Rather than asking who we're going to lynch, how about you bring about your own suggestion. That's the difference between a good player and a mediocre player on CC. Some people come up with their own reasoned arguments and theories, whilst others just follow other peoples views and ideas, essentially relying on others theorising to get through the game... So William, got any theories??!

Well first of all I think that Lord Voldemort is Tom Marvalo Riddle, due to the message we got. Saying that IM LORD VOLDEMORT doesn't make any sence and it doesn't help the town, but when you switch it around, it say IM TOM MARVALO RIDDLE. I know I mentioned this before but the fact she used IM instead of just Lord Voldemort makes me think if it was meant for that. Plus the convincy of Lord Voldemorts name to be made possible into a riddle that tells his role is a rare occurance and I doubt Skoffin would pass up on it.

Unvote Vote TWO now why would you "want to be" a drunk and use that as an excuse. You didn't double check the facts when animo is a knucklehead and is the one that had made the comment. The only really smart thing that animo has come up with in any mafia game that I've noticed was figuring out there was a lightning rod somehow in MM's game which I had never heard of before. Now if you wanted to be a follower of someone like AD, Nag, GA, etc... then you would have a little more room for argueing.

Unvote, vote: Exile

My reasoning is thus: I don't really have any, but he's been active and not contributing (besides, of course his vote counts but aren't they a great excuse to kinda 'fly under the radar' without offering any true ideas, which the scum love to do), kinda like when someone posts a lot but never anything game-related (Fircoal, lol [I'm joking]) tend to be scum, in this case he's got a great excuse; in fact half of you will probably be like 'wtf is kalish talking about,' which is fine and what I'm used to.

Just because you've got a vote count to do doesn't mean you can't alternatively contribute, and Exile knows this. It looks like he's using this as a 'smoke-screen' to say "look guys, here I am" whilst hiding out as scum. When Ditto was doing the VCs he had other things to add as well.

Is it a half-assed theory? Yes.
Does it make sense? Eh, kinda....
Do I have anything else? No. (besides the other just as weak cases standing against so others so why not add another, even weaker one ;) ) Its just another random, somewhat baseless theory... Give me something better and I'll go that route.

Oh and FOS: TWO, I agree with nag that post looks scum-ish.

AD: I had to accuse someone, you just posted close to me so you got it.

I wasn't singling anyone out to follow. I don't know of animo's reputation (I haven't played in how long?) and, therefor, I couldn't know that he wasn't trustworthy with vote counts. I've already explained my reasoning for wishing for an excuse. You make such a big deal about wanting to be able to lie. In all honesty, LSU, how often have you had reasoning that wouldn't be accepted easily and used a dishonest excuse for saying something. It's not that uncommon. Bad judgment or inattentiveness can screw you over in this game. I've already said why I wasn't paying the closest attention to what I was typing.

7 or 8. Also, just highlight the text then click the [font colour] button above the text box and then select the color you want.

Code: Select all

example: [color=#0000FF]Vote: Skoffin[/color]

and should show up as

example: Vote: Skoffin

you can also bold it by adding the bold tags for better visibility

Code: Select all

example: [color=#0000FF][b]Vote: Skoffin[/b][/color]

and will show up as

example: Vote: Skoffin

I don't get this attack on TWO. he said "I wish I could claim the drunkard excuse for doing something silly" and suddenly Josh is like "OMG SCUM" (OK, I'm exaggerating). it seems to me more to be a sort of rueful "doh -.-" style post, not indicative of him being scum (then again, also not exonerating him, but such is life). Yes, the following "vote salubri" comment was dumb but that's what the "wish I could say I was drunk, but I'm just stupid" style post was for.

Josh, on the other hand appears to be making a big deal out of nothing... but he does this all the time when he's town, so I wouldn't vote him for it.

Where does that leave us? Well, I don't think either of them are guilty, but I will up my FOS on Dito. Vote ditocoaf.

ace wrote:How many votes until dito dies? And how do you make votes blue?

I think about 5 now we count mine (but since Skoff said she'd do a vote count, she can do it for me to check) and to make votes blue, you highlight the text you want changed and then click the "font colour" tab, then a blue colou. Alternatively copypaste this code:

Code: Select all

[color=#0000FF]Vote SCUM![/color]

I don't think it is...

I think Animorph believes that we can just say "vote scum" and be done with it.
