How did you calculate the 'prev' values in Round 2? Our team is showing zero, and I'm just wondering why. Thanks!

Read first page carefully:
AndrewB wrote:Points Transfer
1. The 50% of points difference will be transfered to the next round.
Example: Let say you got 8 MP in your group. And the lowest qualifying team amongst all groups got 5 MP. So you get 1.5=(8-5)*50% MP transfered to the next round.

Thanks Andy, I should have read the rules more carefully before posting! I'm not a mathmetician, but I don't see how we ended up with 0 carried forward, when we had 4.2 MP in round 1. On the other hand, at least we can't go down can we?

Np, Fishydance
You got 0 points, because your result (4.2) was the lowest cut-off. Noone else who proceeded to the next round had less points then you did.
Therefore you got 0 points to transfer.

Question.
Why are we in the same poule as you again?

LOL, Does it mean that someone is afraid, huh?
Well, it is kind of complicated, but is defined in the regulations:
AndrewB wrote:7. Groups will be assigned by previous round results and team rating. (First team will play with last).
So, in order to define new groups I did the following:
Sorted the teams by the MPs first, then by rating.
After that assigned numbers 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 against each team from top to bottom. That gave me the new groups. (1/2/3/4)
Hope it all makes sense...

very affraid...
+ the difference you took with you from the previous round doesn't makes it easier.

Sorry mate, but it will become progressively more difficult with any new round anyhow. You just have to play your best, mate
And don't tell me, that you have not been warned about the points transfer. It was were ever since I posted the tournament.

good grief

how many players quitting on you in this neo? does that make 10 total now?
I am finishing the tourney out, but if things like this continue, i doubt i will join the next one, so frustrating
so, if no one replaces him, does his team just cancel all games?
or from now on if any members quit, there team gets penalized, not sure why so many start something then quit, any way you can make a stiff rule to prevent this neo? or if you make tounreys in the future, can the main team, state or post a sub in advance so we dont have to keep dragging this out and waiting?

I hope that you don't mean that I am doing my job bad.
Unfortunately in any tournaments there are drop offs. Especially in the size of 100 people when we started. So having 10 people drop-off makes it 10% of the original players.
Anyhow, the replacement was found, furthermore, it was found within the given timeframe. So you didn't wait any longer, then expected. Most of the replacements were done in the timely manner. So I am not sure where this frustration is coming from...

I'm sure he doesn't andrew... nothing you can do about people dropping out.
Blitz - I know it's frustrating, but I think it's always going to be a fact of life in a long-running tournament that players drop out, not much anyone can do about it - penalising is an option although that punishes the remaining partner more than the drop-out, and might encourage both partners to drop out rather than just one.
So long as replacements are organised in a timely fashion, the impact should hopefully be fairly minimal on the remaining players. Andrew seems to be doing a good job of making sure this is taken care of
