Good to see Chicago win. In this series I sheer for the team I dislike the least, not like the most.

What a treat. That game was nuts
with so many almost winners...
The Bruins power play that almost ended it
in the final minute of the 2nd OT couldn't
have been closer...
of course there were a lot of close ones
at both ends of the ice.

With Malkin's new contract he's the highest paid player on the penguin squad. Kinda weird that the second line center and assistant captain get's 0.8 million $ more than the first line center and captain Crosby. Especially since both of them are around the same age. Malkin must have a much better agent than Crosby.

Malkin is my favorite player so I'm biased, but I think it's been seen throughout all of our playoff runs in the Croskin era that Malkin is a much more dependable player (Conn Smythe in 2009 to his name too). Also, Crosby's shown that he's injury-prone and if he goes down again Malkin will be there to save the team.
If they trade Malkin I'm going to be fucking pissed.

Oh, and since we extended Bylsma, I think it's imperative that we trade Letang for a top defensive-minded D-man.

Signing someone to an outrageously long and expensive contract is not usually what you do when you want to trade someone. Makes it harder to find a deal.

Crosby has an obsession with the number 87. He wears it because his birthday is August 7th, 1987 (8/7/87). His annual cap hit is $8.7 million. I know he signed a contract with that number in mind, so probably took a bit of a hit to make it that bizarre number. I suspect Malkin just went in to get his net worth.

On the Pens fan forum it's hilarious seeing some posters say that the Pens should sign Malkin to a 71 mill deal (not sure if they knew they of the coincidence or not).

The Bruins have looked like the best team so far
and I'm hoping the BlackHawks can step it up
to keep it interesting.
But tonight? Go Spurs!

The 2013 record is currently standing at 3/4.

Toronto & Montreal played a five game Cup Final
with all games going OT.
One of the game analysts quoted someone as saying,
"If these two teams played a hundred games, they'd both win fifty."
Ok, the Cup is back on swerve returning to Boston for Game 6.
I sure hope Bergeron and Toews can both mend enough to play
and safely contribute in the final games.

If one thing could be said about the Blackhawks this season, it's that they always found a way to win. Congratulations to them.

It was an
awesome series... with an absolutely stunning finish.
The burst of energy from Boston that gave them the lead
with about 4 minutes remaining, then Chicago does zip
with a powerplay opportunity. Dumping the puck in the
Bruins zone and coming up empty.
Seemed almost certain there would be a Game 7 in Chicago.
Wow... that was unreal.
The Red Wings being up 3-1 with the Blackhawks on the edge
of elimination... and a Game 7 overtime seems years ago.
Congratulations on a Great Season to Chicago
and Boston was awesome too.

Those last few minutes were just a total roller coaster. I'm just disappointed that we don't get one final game. No more hockey until the preseason. Bollocks!
Bollocks.
