Sorry about the wait guys... there was question as to whether they were ready for more maps in the Forge. Thanks for your patience.

I'm not really used with baseball rules but I'd like to play it on CC first.

Question to people who watch loads of baseball: I'm trying to assign labels ("Single," "Double," "Triple") to the balls on the field. Which labels do you think would be appropriate to each ball?
Also, doing the XML, I've noticed that the 'R', 'L' labels of the diamond don't match the ones on the dirt or the outfield.
Also, the mound should bombard the pitchers, not assault them. I think that's what emerged from the Gameplay phase.

3,4 are triples, the ones down the lines are doubles and the rest are singles. And yea, natty has to switch the infield grass ones

Thanks. Well, now as soon as Natty makes these couple changes, I've got the XML ready to go.

I disagree, 8 is much more likely to be a triple than 3. You almost never see triples hit to the left of the center fielder. Of course it all depends on whose running, whose fielding and how the ball bounces. The way the infielders are positioned, 6 (and maybe 9) could easily be outs (but this is all purely subjective of course). I'd be worried about assigning names to the balls because people might think they mean something.

Good point. I'll take the labels out: It'll just be "Ball 3", "Ball 4", and so on. Not the ones for the home runs, though, because they do mean something. What looks better:
"Home Run 1", "Home Run 2"
or
"Ball 1: Home Run", "Ball 2: Home Run"

I was thinking about 8 too. Haha it also depends on the field. In Boston nothing to the left side of the field would ever be triple, while right and center field for fast runners is nothing but triples.

Updates made.
I also moved a few of the field labels on the small map to make more room for army numbers, so check all your coordinates there.

I like teh mechanics of this map, should be interesting to play. Lot's of options.
Personally, though, I would have pounced on the chance to make the territories on the field symmetrical.

Natty, do you think ball 3 might be moved to the left a bit? The shadow overlaps with LC5, and while I don't think many people will be confused, moving it over might still be worth it. (Especially since all the other non-home run balls touch at least 2 territories.)

Done.
Also moved the label of LC4 on the small.

Aren't the first page suppose to hold the most recent version of the map?
I ask because I was looking for the starting neutral armies. Figuring they would be mentioned in the first post I went and had a look-see, but that version is rather outdated I think.

For starting neutral armies, that version is graphically outdated but the gameplay is the same. All the land territories start at 1, fielders at 2, batter at 2, field balls at 1, home runs at 7, bases at 5.

Gotcha, thanks.
I have to say I was worried that the LC and RC areas wasn't quite fair, looking like RC had the upper hand, but looking at it closely it really is very well thought out. And the neutrals seems just right as well, looking forward to trying it out. Kudos!

Natty: Move ball 3 back just a pixel or two? It looks like it's touching LC3 now.
Alternatively, you might change the angle on the borders between LC4, LC3, and LC6 to give LC4 a bit more space.

Can you move the small version LD4 and RD2 - I had moved the labels there to give more room for the numbers.
Also I wonder if Yogi's number should be centered on the circle like the other fielders, for consistency...
All other numbers look good.

Maybe it's just me, but on the large version, Babe's troop number looks a tad high. Maybe move it a pixel or two down?
