I heard the spurs are trying for Valbuena? I am an Olympique de Marseille fan myself (and a Real Betis fan as well, but don't support any particular english team even after living there).
He's been incredible in his December games, scoring some really important goals including one in the injury time in dortmund that qualified us for the next round in the champions league and some goals that meant 2 extra points in ligue 1.
He makes quality passes (number 1 in league1 in assists so far) and great goals from outside the box, but he is not really consistent and is often a substitute. but I'd sell him to the spurs if the money is good.

Is David De Gea the worst keeper in the premier?

Man Utd. was paying a lot of attention to Mexican goalie Guillermo Ochoa but he got into a bad streak and went for the other option, De Gea.

Do you think they might go for another goalkeeper in the summer?

Guillermo Ochoa highlights, I used to think he had the same reach that Peter Czech but Ochoa left some balls there while Peter held them.

De Gea is still young.. I think Man U's plan is a long-term one... they bear his mistakes a season or a couple, then sweetly use him for the next 15 years.

Hahahahahahahahaha, what a great way to start 2012. Manure and Man shitty both losing, and Robin van Persie secures his name in the history books. I love the premiership.

man i was laughing so hard at the end of that end , it was so funny shitty dominate the game and sunderland steal the win :D

on a side note de gea sucks , lindeguard should be the no 1 keeper he has ony let in 1 or 2 goals and has mostly kept clean sheets, de gea might be a long term plan but right now he sucks.

ochoa sucks. he might be able to do some spectacular saves, but he can't catch a ball he is always pushing it away with his fists, and he is quite bad with his feet, he is far from having the level to play in a top club.

Johan Djourou, what the f*ck was that?!?! To be fair, after we went 1-0 up, Fulham were the better team. Once Johan got sent off there was only going to be one outcome. Szczesny was at fault for the first goal. Here's what he tweeted after the game.

Szczesny via Twitter wrote:Poor result for us, poor goalkeeping by me for the 1st goal, poor day all round! Let's move on and win the next one!

He's got my respect for saying that. Takes balls to be a man and hold your hands up. I wonder if Djourou will do that.

Typical, Chelsea, Utd and City all drop points and we can't capitalise.

I disagree. He has great range, he had greatly improved in his feet movements the last seasons he was in the Mexican league, I admit I hadn't watched any of the games in France. And some of the balls other keepers wouldnt dream of getting to he leaves them there big deal, he only needs some glue on the gloves.

They are last and the worse defense of the league. He can stop some penaltys and do some spectacular saves; but he also makes some stupid mistakes. he really has an unconventional way of goal keeping for us europeans, like campos, higita or chilavert. spectacular keepers, but not great keepers.
A keeper is the most important position in a team and the number 1 quality is to be consistent and reliable; not to make some impossible saves once in a while and having bad timings to catch an air ball and secure your defense.

by the way, beckham is not going to Paris, LA proposed a new contract and Ancelotti after arriving said he wasn't really a priority for him. It's funny because the official PSG shop had already been selling beckham jerzeys for christmas!!

I'm no fan of the yids, but there is every chance they will finish above the arse and chelski. I see Arsenal and Chelsea fighting it out for 4th place.
Christ, after some of Man U's recent results - I would hazard a guess that MU will have to qualify for CL this year

tough question I have to say... De Gea did a lot of mistakes lately so it's easy to charge against him now, but I think he has a good potential.
Ochoa is not bad, he is unconventional for an european goalie. he makes some crazy saves, but I don't think he alwys has the best placement choices and he definitely never grabs a ball! punching away the ball gives a new ocasion half of the times to your oponent..

Nevertheless, I think there are very few good goal keepers in england, and very rarely good goalkeepers in the english national team. I don't know why is that, but england always had a weak spot with its goalies, maybe that's why they don't win anything since such a long time.

Thing is, De Gea might well lose a lot of confidence because he's making mistakes relatively frequently. He's a good goalkeeper, but Manchester United isn't somewhere to go to become the best if you're a goalkeeper. It's somewhere you go if you are the best (eg Schmeichel in his prime).

Think the lack of good English goalkeepers recently has a lot to do with good, promising ones (Kirkland is the first that springs to mind) going to big clubs early on, rather than staying put until they're a bit older. Goalkeepers aren't generally at the top of their game until they're in their 30s anyway, there's no point going for Champions League football when you're 21 - there's another 7 or 8 years before you'll be even coming up to your prime, may as well get regular games in an environment where your every slight mistake isn't being scrutinised.

Haha, Sniper is cracking me up. Here's a reality check. Newcastle 3, Man Utd 0. Or how about going 3-0 up against 10 men City, then almost pissing it away, against 10 men.

We dominated a dirty Leeds for the whole game with half a squad. No full backs (major worry how many defenders are going off), and our two of our top three players were not even there (Robin deservedly resting, and Gervinho is away on international duty). Easy win, made difficult by a tough and determined Leeds.

In other news, Pires is training with us. As much as I'd love another glorious comeback, he's passed it.

really have i said anything about uniteds win? No . I know how bad United are atm and were still 2nd in the league with a make shift team each week playing due to injures.

It was leedsyou were playing against and to scrap a 1-0 looks bad no matter how the team played especially when the goal came from someone who is only gonna be there 2 months. if united were playing them we'd put out a second string team and still kick their asses at home so "missing players" aint no excuse for only 1-0.
