Was it a sending off?

I saw the second yellow(was that tackle worthy of a straight red?), but missed the first

he definetly deserved to be sent off i would have given him a straight red instead of second yellow.

wenger is on his way out now only a matter of weeks if this continues.

joshy who would you like to see take over as new manager if wenger is sacked?

We can only hope.

Yes, this is a massive problem. Whoever comes in has impossible shoes to fill, and a new manager would probably mean a whole new era at Arsenal in the terms of attitude towards the style of play, and the way players are brought in and taken out. This change could be good, or it could make things worse depending on who takes over.

If I'm honest, we need a miracle worker, like The Special One. Fat chance of that.

Wenger will not be leaving any time soon. His philosophy makes the club massive money through transfer fees.

What is better for a club, making money through transfers or winning games and trophies? The bottom line is, whether you like it or not, winning is everything.

For instance, your Championship club could bring up 2 teenage superstar midfielders through the academies, who score 30+ goals a season, as well as dominating their positions. Then you sell those players, who cost you nothing, for £20,000,000 each. But don't win a single game all season. Is that really good for the club? What if the £40,000,000 you get is spent on players to strengthen the squad, but you go another season without winning a game?

Winning is the aim of the game, and right now, we aren't winning jack shit.

Yeah, well tell Kroenke that. He owns 5 other sports teams here in America and treats them all the same. He won't approve of Wenger leaving.

Well, the fans don't approve of seven years without a trophy, and if it wasn't for football fans (or customers), football wouldn't be the super business it is today. You need to keep your customers happy, ask lack about that...

sorry man, it's not black or white choice.. for most clubs in Europe now, win is no longer the aim. reaching champions league is the most important objective now. qualifying to group stages = 20 million euro.... qualifying to round of 16 = 15 million euro.

as a fan, you have nothing to do with club finance. but those who are in charge have a different view; for them, it's a business. any win is just a bonus..

though, I agree that Wenger's philosophy should take place in France's League 1 or Netherlands' Eredivisie not English Premier League.

What's the difference between Arsenal and a triangle?

A triangle has 3 points.

You know it's bad when an Arsenal fan is ripping the piss out of their own team... :(

Yep, truly terrible times to be an arsenal fan. A point away to newcastle in a game we dominated, a lead going into the second leg against a good udinese side and a loss to liverpool in an even match thanks largely to a goal both ludicrously jammy and offside. All this while our squad is far weaker than it will be for the bulk of the season as a minor injury/suspension crisis coincides with badly timed transfer dealings.

I was being a bit frivolous when I predicted arsenal to win the league. In all likelyhood we won't, but we won't be far off either. Chelsea or Man City, who can spend more than their entire turnover on wages and still lavish hundreds of millions on transfer fees, or the money-making machine that is Man United are the favourites. That doesn't mean Wenger is a joke, or a stubborn old man who and should be sacked. He remains an incredible football manager. It's simply not a level playing field.

It's not the board/Kroenke's fault either. Someone accused them of taking money out of the club- this is bullshit. No dividends have been taken from arsenal for years, whether from transfer fees or anything else. We've remained near the top while paying off a new stadium at a time when transfer fees and wages have been massively inflated by clubs who can afford to make huge losses. Wenger's youth policy is the only reason we've been able to do that.

So yes, we've won nothing the past six seasons under Wenger as sky sports and tabloid hacks kindly remind on a weekly basis. We've qualified for the champions league every single year, reached the final once, played some of the most beautiful football in Europe and mounted a couple of real title challenges but we'e won nothing. We've outstripped Liverpool, a club of comparable size, while paying for a stadium that will let us compete on a higher level than them but we've won nothing. It really is an unbearable burden to be an arsenal fan. Sack Wenger, get some no-nonsense English players in for £20 million apiece and the league's in the bag.

Sorry for the rant but i'm pretty drunk and the moaning of some arsenal fans has become unbearable

i think thats the longest post ive seen someone make in this thread

anyway besides from the arsenal suck posts(which i enjoy  ) Man Utd once again whipped spurs at old trafford. Welbeck scored one and set another for up for an unlikely goal scorer in anderson.then came the 3 subs in which the old vet giggs set up rooney for the 3-0 win.

i was also glad to see de gea got over his first 2 nervey games he made quite a few saves last night and even played his way out of trouble when defoe chased him down(anxiety moment there).i was a fuckin shame to see defoe kick de gea when they both went for the ball even though de gea had clear control of the ball.im surprised the united players didnt rush in straight away and make a fuss about it.

We've made £63 million in 2 weeks and Wenger has bought no-one worthwhile in that time. Big game tonight, fingers crossed.

We freakin' did it, you little beauty! Wonderful game of football, highlight was the penalty save from Szcezny and the cool-headed finish from Walcott to secure the £25 million progress to the group stages! :D

Now... United on Sunday... a different kettle of fish all together. :|

Szcezny was good in the game but although walcott scored the winner but missed a absolute sitter earlier in the game. 2-0 to united on Sunday ;)

nah the players will not push that hard we know what even a down beat arsenal team can do so fergie will also be packing the midfield so 2 goals at the most for us i can see.i just hope de gea doesnt bottle one in his first big game.

Did you see our game last night? Udinese were running the midfield with one player, so what trouble do you think United will have? A bog standard 4-4-2 for United will be more than enough to see us off. I would hope for a surprise, and maybe even a point, but I know better.
