Re: POST your new rank Here
Sargeant, all gratus the SoC instructors. 1 in 3 chance of losing it within 23 hours if Blue ( here-> http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=7216355) has a set with his 3 cards. If not then I'll sweep and get to hold onto my stripe for a little longer. THANK YOU, SoC instructors!!!

Emelar, you're too modest! Continue to play your games like you do now, and there's no telling how far you'll get. =)

edit- LMAO...Just saw what my joke about Emmdizzle really meant viewtopic.php?f=58&t=122025 and the great honor

for the tactics instruction. Not modesty, it's the truth. You guys deserve the credit for 95% of my ranking up. And, Mac, it's just not true- "no telling..." I've been told where I could go MANY times.
If I make Louie, I think I'd like to sign up to learn the strategies of team play. In fact, some guy named Emmdizzle was asking me to help him out in some team games telling me that us Em's gotta stick together. So I told him I'd look into it and after tuning up my strats a bit, I'd be happy to give him a break.
Congrats, emelar! Well done!
Emmdizzle currently are Conqueror. Highest score at the moment.

I was JUST about to make a comment about that until I read your edit. Any team games that has 3 or more teams are NOT the best way to learn team games, since there is so much diplomacy involved it really doesn't teach you strategy. The Society here does teach team games, though I'm not sure who you should ask for that
P.S. looks like Emmdizzle made it

I knew something was wrong when Emmdizzle was Conqueror. 1000 completed games. Not more than for example current Major denthefrog and twice as much points. "Where did Emmdizzle come from? Is he out of this world? Who is he?" Damn skilled player! Never seen anything like it before!"

Emmdizzle did it, Lt Futt, by corralling and killing lots of easy prey with puppet cooks for partners and forcing unfamiliar and unskilled opponents onto all of the opposing teams. That's what many are angry about and why Slow was cracking up. No question he is a skilled player to make it there and some feel that like Sun Tzu he read the battlefield, the competition, made his own opportunities, and therefore, deserves his prize. Many others however consider his tactics cheap and, albeit legal, somewhat dishonorable. They feel this makes his accomplishment less honorable and impure, making it a laughable joke to many and his skill not demonstrated to deserve to be Conqueror.
Re: POST your new rank Here
On the other hand, MY stripes ARE well deserved...by you,
the SoC instructors
and when I graduate, I'll have no problem validating them for you and myself. For that I thank you and value them and your time and help.

I really don't know who deserve what in the race for being Conqueror. Take a close look at the upper part on page 1. 400-1000 games completed and among #50. Emmdizzle ain't the first Conqueror being dishonorable, using cheap tactic and so on. Let those who feel anger for it be. I don't care about Conquerors. I doubt his team would beat any qualified team. Emmdizzlelers are clowns to laugh at. Probably insane using arguments like ""Em" should stick together".
I just laugh.

You definately know who to honor.
Once I asked mpjh why he did risk his points and rank playing against overplayers (teachers advicing students). mpjh said he didn't play for points and rank. He had pay back when students improve. I agree.
If noone did teaching, we would play like a BM against BMs. How would you prefer to win? Random like a BM or with calculated strategy?
To me it's an honor to be beaten by qualified opponents. Also it's an honor to win against such. I prefer playing against qualified opponents. I salute every student that pick up The SoC strategy and improve. I look forward to meet you in future games. It'll be an honor to be beaten by you and to beat you cause you're about to become a qualified player.
You are just as honorable for improving as you think SoC teachers are.

Congrats!
You may bounce up and down for a while. You may learn the hard way. Learn by mistakes. Learn by experience. Learn to be a wise, experienced and skilled player. It's a prosess. Some students does it fast. Some does slower.

Re: POST your new rank Here
Sargent 1st Class. I have been having a lot of fun. Just finished my first tournament. Won 2 games in the first round and one in the second round. I've learned a lot and there is still a lot to learn. Right now its vacation time! Thank you to the Society mentors who have taken the time to help me and other cooks. I have had a lot of fun since joining in April. I'll be back in a little over a week and join more games.
