I also agree you could decrease the colour saturation just a nudge on the CCCP area...

Re: WWII:Poland [Beta]
Sorry guys, but i have to disagree here, red armies show up just as fine as grey armies appear on the other side, this is the first i've heard of anyone having this problem so unless there is an overwhelming want for change, i'll be leaving the map unchanged
Thanks for the comments though

Fine with me, it doesn't bother me as I have quite good eyes. However I've heard at least one guy complain about it in game chat...

Re: WWII:Poland [Beta]
hi, this is probably a dumb question (and possibly answerd elsewhere, tho 23 pages is too much to red through) but how, if a genral is surounded by barbed wire and only one way attacks out of the area are you suposed to attack it?
the ,aps looking good, am keen to play, just waiting for a slot to open up...

It's part of the gameplay of the map, it even says it in the instructions. It's not anyone's fault but your own if you don't read them.

sam...recently i mentioned to you in a PM that i couldn't read the legend instructions, and i see that you have made an effort to adjust that....but i am going to request if you would make more of an adjstument as i am still having trouble reading that black text on that dark red background.
i know you wanted to achieve a dark effect, but i can read the white mapmakers details...perhaps some more white text behind the black to bring it out of the dark red...

Sam, it's getting there. but not there yet. I can see that you've lightened the background, and added some white to the text, but it is clearly still not immediately legible what everything is, even though the font size is perfect.
See the Soviet area is legible because of the tomato red background, but the legend has a deeper richer red that doesn't work well with the black text. But the red is the perfect colour ofr the map...can i suggest an offeset of the text with white/grey as the background layer.

Re: WWII:Poland [Beta]
Why not just make the text color grayish?
Re: WWII:Poland [Beta]
Powstanie Warszawskie map? I think that would be a better idea
Re: WWII:Poland [Beta]
This could be an dead end map.
the chances are small, BUT it could happen and you need to find a solution on how to end the game if the situation occurs.
when you play with spoils - nuclear you can end up with all players having just one or more planes each, no one can attack anyone else and no one can earn spoils to nuke the others.

I could say something interesting, but I wont

Negative. You can earn spoils by bombarding neutral territories...

Really? You bombard a territory, leave it essentially unchanged and still get a spoil?

Yep. Lots of guys use the strategy on the old feudal... They keep bombarding at the same territory from the castle every turn, so they get a card each turn without having to conquer a new territory, so they lose very few troops, and build efficiently...

You mean, Feudal War vs. Feudal Epic? Same strategy for both maps.

Do you have a point with this or are you just being your usual self ?

highly unlikely that this will happen, but it is worth considering what should be done.

It's no Bug. It's a potential problem with gameplay, but a bug? The same could happen in many other maps like Waterloo where there are bombard only territories. The chance of this happening are so minimal, it's not worth the trouble.

Re: WWII:Poland [Beta]
It's no problem either. You just have to keep bombarding for cards until someone is lucky enough to get the card for the plane that their opponent has.

Well, it is a bit of a problem, because if you have the spoil for your own plane, and keep bombarding to get spoils, you may find yourself forced to cash the set that eliminates you. So the problem is that you might stop bombarding just to protect yourself, and if all the players end up in that situation, they might drag the game out indefinitely. But, as noted above, this will be rare, so what difference does it make? The players have a game that they can drag out as long as they like, or that they can end by making a play. I just hope no one makes a fuss about someone "throwing a game" if that person (especially a freemium, who might want to free up that precious game slot) decides to end it all.
