England 2-2 Switzerland
Not the resounding result I'd anticipated but considering we came back from 2-0 down not a complete catastrophe either!
Bit disgruntled with the jerkiness of the picture, I expected better from you itv1hd!

I have had an epiphany: Sepp Bloody Blatter is at fault that ENglish National Team sucks so much. Don't you dare to disagree?

Only over-rated by the idiots. Proper football fans don't get drawn in by the media hype. Blatter is what's wrong with world football though, so therefore at fault for England not being very good

exactly. if Blatter ruined something, I'd say he ruined the game everywhere. he turned it to an industry which made few clubs only able to win the champions league and only if they spent (or rather wasted) a load of 100s of millions.

Overated should be replaced by overhyped by the likes of Daily Mirror-Mail and Talk Sports... BTW, I decided to stop being a football fan and has not watched it for 14 months already...

I don't enjoy the national competitions anymore... FIFA wanted France in the last world cup, and that was unfair for Ireland. they also wanted Argentina there because Messi and Maradona would bring a lot of cash, when they really sucked at qualifiers.

And then you get stories like this:

CONCACAF is about to have its house cleaned up by the FBI, thank fucking Christ. I hope North and Central America leave those Caribbean kleptocrat clowns behind and form their own confederation.

http://www.amazon.com/Fix-Soccer-Organi ... 0771041381 I read this book and it is kind of scary. In the Prem. Newcastle are the team to watch for match fixing scandals, and, if you wanna read something a bit more happier and number crunching, I recommend this one
http://www.amazon.com/Soccernomics-Aust ... 322&sr=1-1 That is, if you read.

Read Soccernomics and it was brilliant in every section except the one about America, which it was very poor. It basically suggested, without using much numbers at all, that Americans should give up on MLS and be glory hunters. It seemed to be the only section without detailed tables and graphs and charts.
Really, I loved the rest of the book though and I've got a copy of The Fix too I've been saving for my week off from work

If anyone wants to know exactly what went down to the littlest detail of the meeting between Bin Hamman, Warner, and the Carribean Football Union delegates, even the converstaion that occurred which made all the rest of this happen, I highly suggest reading Bill Archer's blog on BigSoccer. He is, in my opinion, better than the professionals who cover the sport here. An American Andrew Jennings if there were ever one.

Sam, I agree.
Pirlo, I'm pretty sure Wenger is married. Besides, even if one of us did f*ck him, what good would that do?

sorry dude, but O'shia and Brown are nothing but rubbish. I dislike MU for some reasons. one of them is that the club is too commercial. I think of MU as an extremely for-profit corporation. I know all clubs are the same, but not like the degree of MU.
now seriously, is a dumb like Park Sung capable of a giant club like MU? IMO, he's just a promotional material for the club to gain more fans in rich Asia. and what happened, he failed to stand properly when Messi fired the 2nd goal in the final. haha I like it when some shit lose like that.

Are you fucking serious Pirlo?!? You are fucking ignorant!!! Park is one of the hardest workers on the Man Utd team. Why do you think he was in the team against Barca? Guess. I'll tell you why. Because he will chase the ball all night long, and close players down, pressuring the ball. He did that against Barca, and gave 100% as he always does. I'm an Arsenal fan, and I have huge respect for this guy. He's a very hard worker, and more players should follow his example. Wise up mate.

do you not know football at all?? if we were "for-profit" why would we be spending 50 million+ in the transfer window.
Park is one of the most under rated players in the world, as JB said the guy never gives up he hunts you down every step for as long as it takes.he never complains or does shameful things like a few italians we all know.
