I find it amusing that there is a premium prize and only premiums can join, who (most) can afford it or know someone who will give it to the.

Yeah, but it is 7 games at once, which freebees can't do. I was hoping for whiskey and blow to be the prize, but this is more practical... :mrgreen:

I had a 12 month credit after my first tournament that was open to everyone

6 months premium to the winner

Bracket style tournament with in 256 players being the maximum # ... so grab your spot now. Last day to sign up is Sept. 5th. I'll take reserves for the following week.

Maps: Random with equal chance for every current map
Settings: Sequential, No cards, & No Fog. Forts will be randomly chosen between adjacent or chained

A match will consist of 7 games and the player winning 4 or more will move onto the next round. Maps and fortification type will be determined randomly for each game of each match.

Premium only as each round will be at least 7 games

I'll start posting games this weekend and everyone must join their games by Sept 15th or they will be replaced with a reserve

In later rounds the # of games will increase. In the quarterfinals (final 8 ) it will be best 6 of 11. In the semifinals (final 4) it will be best 8 of 15. The finals will be best 11 of 21.

This tournament will take a long time given the format and number of players. Reserves will be used for the first 2 rounds. In later rounds, a player will automatically advance to the next round if their opponent drops out.

I'll be taking reserves though and with 256 players I'm sure there will be quite a few openings once we get started.

Have you seeded your brackets so that high ranked players only meet each other in the latter rounds - or is the draw also random?

Good idea about the order or of the player list ... now in alphabetical order.

Congrats to Chadwick31 for being the first player to advance to the 2nd round after winning 5 of the 7 games =D>

We also have a 2nd brigadier in the tournament now after a promotion

1/4 of the games are set up and PMs have been sent

I'll probably have PMs sent for a total 1/2 of the games tomorrow night. I think all games will be up by next weekend so Sept 15th will be the deadline for joining games. However, please join as soon as possible so I can get an idea for how many reserves we might need.
