Ok,next time when you say that something is wrong you need to specify.
After check, mistake is in large image, and territory names need to change from Belorussian to Belorussia-because in small image and in Xml the name is Belorussia.
I will fix large map and send to lack.

Ehm... Has anyone ever tried to go for the capitals?
I'm currently holding all central capitals in Game 4118472 and my turn simply ended. If they get taken back before you take a look, I can put a screenshot up.
I spent a lot of armies getting Vienna... Now I probably won't win it.
So was I supposed to win it or not? I tried it because of what I read in the corner, the 'gameplay objective'. When I noticed that it didn't really work out, I came here to check, and the first post says 'Victory condition: ...' too. So I'm guessing something's wrong with the XML or so?

You have to hold the capitals for one turn.

Oooh... That explains :D
Guess the wording "Capture Central Powers Capitals" made me think differently...
Hope most people don't make this mistake. But of course, I hope my adversaries don't know either ;)

Need to waith one turn, because these is how these works. I see many games who finish in that way.

^^^^^^^^^^^^Watch my previous post^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'd have stated Gameplay Objective as "HOLD Central Powers Capitals for one turn", not Capture. But I know, I'm too late with this comment. And it's still... My bad! ;)

Thank you for the reply!

I'm glad I visited, I was about to post that it seems a lot easier to get the central capitals..... Still holding them for a turn will make it harder, though I agree it needs to be mentioned on the map.

Jester's Review of: Europe 1914

Post by j35t3r.us »

My Review:

8/10

Pros:
Great map design, love the +1 bonuses, love the borders, all fit nicely. CLEAN!

Cons:
London w/ 6 neuts

Possible Fixes:

Reduce the # of neutrals on London to 3-4 instead of 6. I have seen numerous games where it just isn't feasible to take the UK due to its low contribution plus the force required to take/hold. The added bonus of Cyprus is something to think about, but then it turns the UK into a 3-border country with no way to get reinforcements to Cyprus encase something happens. Maybe put 3 on Cyprus, and 3 on London instead of 6 on London, and Cyprus being a player-occupied territory???

Great map though. Definitely one of my new favorites.

If i put 3 neutrals, then People who have drop in UK will be in big advantage, because UK worth +2 and london +1,and only need to take one territory to get +3 for 3 territory who is need to defend from 2 borders. All others will be in disadvantage, and i dont want to create these. These is all ready discused before, and these is best option for UK.

I've jumped into my first game on this map - I think London will be OK at 6, but I'll get back to you before we drop the BETA tag.
