first game I already saw something unfair
all luggers have 5 neutrals, except for one? that's totally unfair.. the people with a reef nearby get an early advantage then
change!
my second game was already decided after 2 round

doesn't matter, I was one of the players with no reefs close to it, so I couldn't go for it anyway
if all other reefs have 5 neutrals, than that one should have have 5 aswell

I Dont agree with you personally I think all other reefs have private docks with 5 this one is public so its gets 3.

it only takes 5 neutrals to get there, on all others you have to take out minimum 8
so you do have a disadvantage if you don't have a reef close to it
and what if you start a 3 player game, and you have all 3 reefs there
it just has to be changed

rare start, I don't know, it happened already twice in 4 games lol
and just whoever gets one or two luggers as first wins
they shouldn't connect to all other luggers

well you just lost to me because of the exact same things I said here
I bet other people will agree soon, or people will just not play this map anymore after a while
but I'll stop now ;p
oh and one of those 3 luggers has to kill 2 extra neutrals!

you're welcome!

and cairnswk, it's in all games, it's just that the 3 neutrals should be changed to 5 on lugger genocruz
and whoever gets a lugger as first is almost the winner (this is the case in a 2-3 players games though) and actually everyone should have the same neutrals to kill in order to get to some special territory

i'm not sure if there was sone special reason we did that...so long ago...but i am in the process of correcting but it won't happen straight away. Sorry there is ripway and lack lag time

don't jump to conclusions and go changing the map before there's a large enough sample size to see if it's really a problem

well edboard, you can already see the problem by only seeing the starting neutrals already, without playing

I personally thing that 3 guys on the 1 lugger is a huge problem. If your playing a 2 or 3 player game, and your not by that spot you lose. Seeing as if u hold a lugger once you basicly have won the game, if your playing with a small amount of players. Starting with 3 reefs, and getting 1 lugger gives u 9 men... plus with u being able to attack every other lugger u can stop anyone else from getting 1 and grow your power quickly.
If it was a 8 player game, sure some players would fight for it, but there is 1 reef that you have 2 go through 10 men how unfair is that?

i personally wouldn't mind seeing the luggers, not being able to attack each other as well. i mean u hold 1 and get 3 men per snorkel, and depending how many players are in the game thats anywhere from 2 extra men to 6 men plus the 1 guy for just having the lugger, from that u already have a dominate power because u can attack the other luggers and stop anyone from taking 1, and then u get stronger and stronger very quickly. ofcourse if more then 1 player is lucky to get and hold a lugger at the same time, not to mention take there turn before the other takes urs from you. then it might not be so easy 2 win...but really its a race to the luggers, if ur not there by the 2nd or 3rd turn you have already lost.
In a sequal game witch i am currently playing i got 2 go first, by end of round 2 we both were holding luggers, though sense he couldn;t stop me from keeping mine thats 10 guys deployed to take his, and go all the way to his reef.

I'm sorry rom_tobins....that is not going to happen.
this map was developed on that theme, and it will remain that way.
In the sense that luggers can attack other luggers, it is no different from AoR theme games being able to attack ports. If these were taken away, then let's just return to play classic map.

i'd thought that the way the number of armies were split into neutrals was quiet fair and that everyone had the same opportunity if they chose to take it.
There are 8 reef (starting positions) and 8 luggers. Perhaps you took a wrong turn and made a bad decision about which lugger to get.
each reef is 10 neutrals away from a watering hole which together with the reef holds the highest bonus.
If players want to get to a lugger and wipe you out, then that is the nature of the game.
