Meh, it's a fair question based on his post. I'd like to hear his answer.

What is the position of feminists with respect to the Bill/Hillary relationship? I honestly don't know. It seems like something that would anger me.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) traveled the state Tuesday declaring himself innocent of any potential wrongdoing in a federal investigation into his 2013 campaign and personal finances, even as supporters and critics alike puzzled over its impact.
McAuliffe, 59, plowed ahead with a full day of events around Virginia scheduled before news broke Monday about an FBI investigation into his finances. Asked for his reaction, McAuliffe offered one word: “Shock.” He said no one from the Justice Department notified him or his administration of the ongoing public integrity probe.
McAuliffe said the investigation had nothing to do with Clinton. “I’m governor now, I’m not her campaign chairman anymore,” he said.

Most feminists, myself included, think that she was a strong figure. From what I've read she tore him a new one, then fixed the marriage. He grew up. She stepped up and became one of the most powerful politicians in the world.
Pretty impressive. It gets thrown at her as if it's a flaw, but it really ends up looking good for her. She got pissed, and she fixed it, and went on to bigger things.
Re: U.S. presidential election 2016 (official thread)
NEW YORK—Citing her lackluster support among young voters, campaign consultants to Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential frontrunner who has served as both a U.S. senator and secretary of state, reportedly instructed the candidate this week to be more inspiring. “Right now, voters are looking for a candidate who stands for real societal change, someone who can stir something inside them,” said media advisor Jim Margolis, urging the woman—who overcame entrenched societal biases to build a successful legal career, became the first female senator elected in the state of New York, oversaw the Department of State during a period of widespread international tumult, and, if elected, would be the first female president in American history—to appear more uplifting to voters. “Many young people have completely lost faith in the political process, and they want to believe that true progress is actually possible. They want someone who embodies progressive ideals.” Margolis added that Clinton was too much a part of the establishment she spent decades breaking down barriers to enter.

The "fixed the marriage" part is what I don't understand. Is that something that is seen as necessary and noble or unnecessary and silly? She said at one point in the last few months that Bill is a much better politician than she is, in part to explain her issues in that regard. The overall tenor is that she is a "governor" type and Bill is a "politician" type and that she needs the politician type to help her win. I've seen many of her speeches: very intelligent and seems like she would govern well, but lacking in charisma.
I guess my point is, does it bother feminists (you included) that the impression of her is that she succeeds because of Bill, rather than in spite of him?

Is that the impression? Speaking as an outsider I got the impression that she succeeds because she is competent, albeit struggling to succeed in the presidential race because she is fairly unpersonable and a complete Establishment stooge.

Maybe that's just a function of the political media I read (mostly Politico). Which is weird because Politico is firmly anti-Bernie Sanders.

If you can handle the lies. How could anyone think of voting for her. Please defend this if possible.

I don't really see her success as relying on her husband, nor do I see him as a disadvantage. She's a very credible politician in her own right, with years of political experience behind her.
I do see your point on the charisma front, but compared to the Donald she's a winner.
“Bullshit,” said Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia. “That confirms what we’ve been saying. Why would you expect Bernie should be considerate or be nice or be working to bring everyone together? Why? He’s not a Democrat.”

I think that the attacks on Bill Clinton aren't really substantive, but they are effective. Most voters are un-informed,single issue voters or vote on character. His attacks on Bill really undermine public perception of her as a strong women, someone who stands up for women's issues, which are virtues for the feminist image she tries to portray. If I remember correctly, Bill Clinton was accused of rape. Look how she stood up for those women when it went against her interests.

Well, there's a pretty easy way to see if that's true or not. How's Trump doing in the polls vs Clinton among women voters? Can you provide any evidence at all that he's winning?

He has seen increases in the polls, where he is ahead of her now above the margin of error.
This is where little over a month ago, hilary had a 9 point advantage. Bernie Sanders is doing an excellent job isolating the independents and turning them against Hilary Clinton, whether it's intentional or not.
Not sure what the latest numbers are regarding female votes.

I saw this earlier. I guarantee this does not affect him one iota with his supporters. There is literally nothing he can do that will lead to him receiving less votes. To be honest, I love it. It's driving the political media crazy.

Yeah this is peanuts compared to what he's done. He's called illegal immigrants rapists, he's insulted a female GOP candidate by commenting about her 'unlovable face'. He insulted war veterans who were captured. He belittled Megyn Kelly claiming she was on her period during the debate. He mocked a disabled news reporter. He commented on how would like to punch a protester in the face, and then promised to pay legal fees to any trump supporter being sued for assaulting a protester.

Because it suggests that Trump is a misogynist just like saying "this is my African American" suggests that he's racist.
BUT HIS SUPPORTERS DON'T GIVE A f*ck! This is what cracks me up so much. The media and Trump's opponents literally keep pointing to these kinds of things, apparently not realizing that IT DOESN'T MATTER!

He could have said the exact same thing about a male candidate. It's not a gender-specific comment.

It is amusing watching everyone who hates Trump declare that his latest comment is going to be his downfall, then seeing his ratings either hold steady or increase in the aftermath.
