Not sure if it's been mentioned - but you need to work on spacing between some of your territ names and the army circles. I think better placement in general could be found for a lot of them. Overall - nicely done guys.

Incorrect Valeria, the accent it's at the wrong place in french Québec not Quebéc see the bonus chart.
And why Monteregie, Chaudiere , Montreal, Lanaudiere and Gaspesie have not accent
in french Montérégie, Montréal, Lanaudière, and Gaspésie.
It's fancy but incorrect.

gotcha...accents are correct on the actual map, but not in the legend. Yes, I agree there should be accents in all french places with accents. I misunderstood....I thought you meant remove all the accents all togther.

in the legend, did you mean to call the regions "South Quebec" and "East Quebec" or should south actually be "West Quebec?" because right now "South" is north of "East."
Territory names need some work - for starters, it looks like they are not all the same size, but this could be an optical illusion. And Duplesis is crooked, while the rest are horizontal.
My eyes may also be playing tricks with me on the army cirlces - are some larger than others? Labrador City and Port Cartier, for example.
Anyway, that's the kind of attention to detail that will stall this map... another example is that Nunatsiavat's title should be pulled back from the circle.
Which region is Magdalen Island part of? Since it's completely under the army circle I can't tell what color it is. If it's Nova Scotia, that's a much more difficult to hold +3 than the other two +3s.
You're getting close to my gameplay stamp... can you post what you expect the pixel sizes to be of both large and small maps? I'd also like to see a small map just to make sure the bridges and sea routes don't get muddy.

I'll tell him about them, thanks for noticing.

Thats is what Gilles#1 said to name them, right?
Territory names need some work - for starters, it looks like they are not all the same size, but this could be an optical illusion. And Duplesis is crooked, while the rest are horizontal.
Duplessis does look smaller but thats all I see.
My eyes may also be playing tricks with me on the army cirlces - are some larger than others? Labrador City and Port Cartier, for example.
I noticed that also, when you line Port Cartier and Charlevoix they are the same size but all the other ones are bigger.
Anyway, that's the kind of attention to detail that will stall this map... another example is that Nunatsiavat's title should be pulled back from the circle.
Thats proble a simple mistake and will be fixed.
Which region is Magdalen Island part of? Since it's completely under the army circle I can't tell what color it is. If it's Nova Scotia, that's a much more difficult to hold +3 than the other two +3s.
It is apart of Nova Scotia but how do you think we should fix it so you can see it?
You're getting close to my gameplay stamp... can you post what you expect the pixel sizes to be of both large and small maps? I'd also like to see a small map just to make sure the bridges and sea routes don't get muddy.
He is said he is goign to do that in alittle so that the big can be worked out then the small.

Really like this map, just one point: Grand Falls hasn't been Grand Falls for around 20 years. It is now called Grand Falls-Windsor after two neighbouring towns amalgamated. Maybe just call it GF-W? Or Central?
I hate to do this as I am from GF and would love to see it on the map, but right is right...sadly.

In French the capital of the region Québec is called only Québec and not Québec City as far as I know. Maybe the City should be removed to conform with the French names.
I noticed that there is East Québec and South Québec. Can these change to Est du Québec and Sud du Québec?

I agree with you Ruben but whats happen with:
Magdalen Island in french is Île de la Madeleine (it' a french island)
Also the english site use the french name
http://www.ilesdelamadeleine.com/index2.htmAnd the title "Gulf of St-Lawrence" it's also a french region "Golfe du St-Laurent"

Then those should change to the French version as well, according to the official language used in those specific regions.

We can't use the french because the names would be too long, i've tried it.
But if Lone wants to try he can, I don't have a problem with it.
Also Lone, just change Grand Falls to GF-Windsor .

I don't agree. The problem is not the French...it's the font used. Try using a smaller, less bold and sharper font and I'm sure they will fit in. The current font used stands out too much and detracts from the map as well. Try to use one that blends more with the map.

working from lone.prophet's page 21 update, here's another draft to consider. there are lots of little changes, plus one big change.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3207/246 ... 25.jpg?v=0unit_2, the big change that i propose is merging port cartier with manicouagan and renaming duplessis territory as côte-nord. when combined with anticosti, the two turquoise territories on the north shore of the gulf will now have the same distinctive shape as the côte-nord administrative region, which has a long straight western border. the name change from duplessis to côte-nord is so that we don't have a territory and a continent with exactly the same name. are u happy with this?
http://www.quebecweb.com/tourisme-heber ... rteang.htmmagdelen island is now îles de la madeleine. lone.prophet, can u see if it fits the map? if not, then we'll have to change it to magdalen islands (islands, not island). it's not magdalen island because none of the islands has this name.
http://www.tourismeilesdelamadeleine.co ... es_ang.cfmthe islands are part of the same administrative region as gaspésie, so i've moved them from nova scotia to duplessis continent and drawn a sea route to gaspésie.
http://www.mdeie.gouv.qc.ca/index.php?id=3920i've removed the sea route to anticosti, which is now not a border territory. the effect is to make the gulf of st lawrence more difficult to cross.
Unit_2 wrote:Also Lone, just change Grand Falls to GF-Windsor.
grand falls is now gf-windsor.
valeria wrote:Eliminate border from Magdelan Islands to Cape Breton. Also eliminate border from Madelan Island to Newfoundland. Add a border from Cape Breton to Newfoundland. Newfoundland should be hard to get to but easy to hold, like in real life.
the gf-windsor sea route now goes to cape breton instead of îles de la madeleine.
lone.prophet, i mentioned previously that the sea routes look a bit untidy. can u try using smaller dots that are closer together?
baie-james now borders mauricie.
http://www.inforoutiere.qc.ca/fr/carte_ ... /index.aspRuben Cassar wrote:In French the capital of the region Québec is called only Québec and not Québec City as far as I know.
québec city is now ville de québec.
http://www.ville.quebec.qc.ca/en/accueil/index.shtmlsaint laurent is now bas st-laurent.
http://www.bas-saint-laurent.org/English/p_contact.aspthe nova scotia continent is now nova scotia & PEI, to acknowledge that PEI is a separate province without changing the gameplay.

How's it going? Have we argued enough about territory names? I think this needs to get moving to the next step.
