The Final Forge period has concluded for the Berlin 1961 Map. All objections have had their time. The Foundry and I hereby brand this map with the Foundry Brand. Let it be known that this map is now ready for live play (barring any Lack vetoes).

Conquer Club, enjoy!

I know. Long ago I had Grimsleeper (one of the earliest cartographers) attempt to make a brand, but then he went inactive. Perhaps I'll open up a fun competition. Stay tuned :)

Oh, tenio, why... why... why did it have to be on my map? Now it's dirty, and I'm not sure I can ever play it.

found a little mistake... I never made the tank neutral to start. Now that I'm playing the map it is insignificant as it doesn't give a bonus, but if anybody has any thoughts on the matter please let me know.

Edit: new XML link was sent to lack and the server updated. thanks.

i like this map, and i should have joined in during the creation period but... the names are hard to distinguish from the background. i think if there was a dark shadow behind the territory names it would make them easier to read.

just my 2 cents

I found an error...

I received one army for holding French Sector, but I didn't have Heiligensee or Wedding.

You just need to hold 3. +1 for holding 3 French Zones.

Sorry this wasn't clearer for you. :(

small error I think

Siemenstadt should be written Siemensstadt (Siemens is a company and stadt means city)

huh, you're absolutely right... careless on my part. It's an easy enough change, but let's wait and see if anything else creeps up before putting up new map and XML.

all spelling errors noted... thanks. Again, I'll wait a bit before I make a change, because every change involves lack's help with a server upload at this point.

for the record, muggelheim already is spelled with an "i" though it may look a bit muddy, especially on the small map.

I really like the map. I love the 1 unit bonus with the plane and the partial hold idea for continent bonuses. There is nothing grossly wrong with the map and i have only played on it 1 so far. However, just from this one time, it seems to me that given that a neutral starts on the bombard territory, it will never actually get used. Few people use the bombard as it is and having to kill 3 neutrals just to neutralize a territory. I just dont think it will ever really enhance the game play considering 99.9 % of games probably wont use it.
I just hink it would enhance the game more if it started as a regular territory and not neutral. Later

Color would greatly enhance this map. I love the concept, just can't stand looking at it.
