I was lucky enough to have Dug join a game of mine...3 person straight up. I school'd him (got lucky). He offered to play a few doubles with me. We played a few dozen over the next few weeks....and he taught me almost everything I know.

Dug is THE strongest player I have ever gone with -or- against. Period. Is he brash? yep. Crude? can be. Over the top? Wouldn't be DC otherwise. Did he cross the line? I don't know...

Subjekt and I have been playing as a team a TON over the last few months...way before this DC shit came up. I had been bugging Subjkt to add a shitload more games. He put up 20 or 25 this morning. Dug DID join a bunch...and does appear to be throwing them.

(1) I knew nothing about his intent beforehand...and stand by him. He's a great guy and great for the site. 4 months is WAY TOO LONG.

(2) Once Subjek caught on to Dug's plan, he killed (or tried to) a few of our games so that Dug wouldn't do it.

I mention all this shit to show my support for Dug...and to curb any thought that I, or Subjekt, have anything to do with these games.

& I know the inevitable will happen where someone will accuse dugcarr1 of abusing the rules of CC (by his losing his games) & wants to ban him further, but I would like to claim that there are no rules saying that you cannot purposefully lose a game for any reason, therefore he should be safe of any further bans.

Thx TT....Let me say this. anyone which knows us as a team ( TT and I ) know that we start 10 games daily and take on anyone who joins....I was down to 7 games this morning as I really was just going to play them out and say screw it....TT was kind enough to help me get to General so the least I could do was to get him to Colonel....So I started a bunch of games this morning ( I think 23) and made sure TT joined them all and after that I never look until I hear the "horn" by the time I noticed Duggy was in a whack of my games .... I do not want any part of his point dumping as I dont want to support him by taking his points??!!??!! Either way I am screwed here as I cant let TT down and I am trying to support Dugcarr1... I was heckling some decent people last night which KNOWINGLY joined his point dumping games, schmoozeinc and AAfitz which I both have alot of respect for...sorry guys...Basically I just want to say that TT and I are not in the games intentionally. I try to treat most people with respect and pride myself on a strict no cheat policy.

yeah i joined two as a momento...but i assumed he was going to deadbeat, not play them....in one i offered to deadbeat, and the other I told the other guy to kill him...as am I...we'll even it out, and winner takes all...if he wants me to deadbeat, I will in a heartbeat...

I didnt join them for the points. i saw them all there and since it was dugs apparent farewell, I figured two for the road wouldnt be bad. When I saw him just demolishing the other guy, I tried to drop the other. But it was too late. I did explain it to the other player, which was not easy, and he took it as well as anyone ever could...the poor guy just wanted a shot at a general and a colonel, and he ended up in a CC drama episode...Im sure they were the best 11 points he ever spent.

I played well over 200 with dug. Hes a great player, and we had a blast. Hes a funny guy, and in our games, he barely chatted with even me, except for the quick joke or complaint about the dice or more usually mine... I just loved winning them, and I could almost always guess his next move, so it made them effortless....usually...

Ive also had the opportunity to play with all the top players, including Blitz, who really is a nice guy. Ive also met(kind of met) lots of other great people, who really know how to play. This place really is a blast....at times its as crazier than anything I would ever have imagined, but it is fun.

Im not about to comment on the situation, because it just isnt fair to me or them. I like them both, and would love to see it all resolved and watch them go head to head in a nice series of games for fun without points... Some will respect that, others wont, but it is just how it is

Myself, Im just going to go back to making my moves in the games...

No one made Dug do anything.

He hatched the scheme out of his own head.

No one made him behave as the poster child for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The only mystery is why the mods continue to let him on this site at all.

At some point the damage he has done and continues to do far outweighs any possible benefit of him continuing to be here.

What do you tell people who innocently joined one of his current games while he's on his current jihad? They're unaware of the fraud being perpetrated in his "throwing" of these "farewell" games. What a joy it must be for them to witness his disgusting display of immaturity.

Finally, having a high score should not be a get out of jail card. That kind of behavior and disrespect to the game shouldn't be tolerated in a new recruit and the fact that he is a high-ranking general makes his behavior all the more egregious.

I'm not sure what's sadder: his behavior, or the people offering excuses for it.

this whole thing comes down to one thing- the point system does not represent the skill of the player in any way. everyone one page one of the scoreboard got there the same way. namely start a sh*t pile of dubs and trips, get a low ranked player/s as partners and then school them in the point grab. dug pointed it out,bitched about it and proved he was right by actually doing it.

i dont know dug but i tend to think that he could give two f*cks about the points its the quest to be the best player that he persues. by dumping his points and doing it again only reinforces his arguement that the point system needs to go or he is indeed the best player.

im in 5or6 of his point dumping games now with the intention of wiping out the other players and then going deadbeat inorder to save him the points but looks as if he may deadbeat in them before i get the chance.

without dugcarr1 here at cc it loses its wild side and is just another pg13 site full of a bunch of sheep brown nosing the mods.

* i need to give props to wacicha tho he takes all comers and has a pretty good win/lose rate.

He doesn't have to. All I'm saying is dug doesn't command a whole lot of respect among the majority of CCers, and every time he speaks it usually just digs him deeper and deeper. My suggestion is he just licks his wounds and moves on. Four months really isn't that long.

It's a possibility (however remote) that some people don't read the fora and joined the games innocently expecting that everyone was playing to win. Silly people. Well aren't they in for a surprise.

These "point dumping games" are a travesty, at least several orders of magnitude worse than the current point scoring system.

His contempt for the players at CC is apparently boundless. Dug seems hell-bent on doing as much damage to Conquer Club, the game, and his fellow players as he possibly can in the time he has remaining.

If the moderators are wise they will make that period as mercifully short as possible.

I call BULLSHIT on Dugcar! He is a fracking villain who cancels games to maintain his ill-gotten ranking! (BTW, Dugcar, well-played -- nowhere is this stated as being against the rules!) Regardless, I commence....
