What? No I didn't. The army circles are still there, the river is still set in, the mountains are still somewhat 3d... what have I removed?

The Stars were flattened, and the anchors. Can we PLEASE stop this back and forth now. I'm tired of it and I'm sure you'd rather return to a constructive conversation about your map. I've said my piece, and was done with it, but you keep calling me back to defend my view point which is no longer relavent. This isn't Schrodinger's Cat Box!

Well that's hardly "removing all 3d elements"... The stars & anchors, arguably, are still somewhat 3d due to having drop shadows.

Also, come on now. Debate is healthy. Besides, you obviously don't have anything better to do than post in my map thread. 8-)

True but usually it's the map maker who is supposed to defend his position, not the commenter ;)

Not necessarily. Part of the whole process is feedback, and if you make a point or argument, or have a position, it is really up to you to justify why it is important/necessary/down-right-awesome, etc! :D

Ok, so the question remains:

Tito or no Tito?

After looking through the whole topic I still can't figure out exactly what you are asking.

Assuming Josip Tito implies a new territory being squeezed in somewhere, then definitely not.

Not a territory... a small sprite in the lower left corner:

I like picture of Tito very much. It is the missing piece of this time period.

As far as I found out on Wikipedia he is not a dubious person like Hitler or Stalin. So I don't think people will be offended or anything.

You are right, not like Stalin or Hitler. Just work houses, interment camps and thousands of missing people. Sort of a cross between West and Eastern powers. The brutal repression of foreign nationals caught in his borders.

Tito might be a missing piece of the map but that one could be anyone. For all I know, that could be natty in front of a mirror. If you keep it in, can you smooth the concrete out beneath him so it becomes more clear (as with the flag in the title area).

I realize you've already got the graphics stamp so this might be a little late and it's probably been brought up before but what's with the dotted borders? Otherwise an easily understood and standard map but the borders is a ? to me!

It's a stylistic thing. What's hard to understand? They're borders.

To me a dotted border indicate an attempt to lessen the importance of it! To give space to something else and when there's nothing else claiming center stage it looks a little odd that's all!

Well, no one else has even mentioned them before now. I even asked about them while in graphics, and no one had any problem with them. So, for now, it would seem you're in the minority here...

no worries, as soon as oliver finishes the tournaments he's hosting, finishes his map xml, takes all his turns, posts in the suggestion forums, talks a bit more on his map, then, and only then he will look at your xml. unless RL issues appear. in which case nobody knows when your xml will be checked.

Why the rush? There are at least three other maps that have dibs on betafication before this one.

That's not how it works... maps go to beta when they're ready and nobody(ies) has no complaints. There's no "waiting line" for beta.

As for the XML checks... In the XML thread, this should be the next map to inspect - this is posted straight after Fractured China, which has already been inspected.

I understand that Oliver has real life things he has to take care of. I don't mean any disrespect towards him, but waiting 3 weeks for XML check with nothing to do just doesn't feel very fun to me.

Victor... you'll understand when you get your own map to FF.

Maybe we should just rename FF to "Waiting Room"? ;)
