Almost 10 months ago we started with our TOP 500 Doubles League. The highest ranking 24 teams, whose members had to be among the TOP 500 players of the scoreboard at that time, joined the League. 12 of them managed to be qualified for the 2. season and only best 6 of them survived for the last and final season.

As of 7th of December, 2007, last match of TOP 500 Doubles League Finals is still running. Both teams artur1 & snusleppa and Incandenza & Mepps have 30 points. Incandenza & Mepps completed their matches, but artur & snusleppa are playing their last match. Although we can't predict the results of last running match, the champion of TOP 500 Doubles League is already clear. Even if artur & snusleppa won't be able to get points in their last match, they are the champion of this hard marathon according to the "point draw" rule, that states we should look at the matches between those two teams and count the points of that matches specifically. These were first matches of weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Finals. artur & snusleppa collected 18 points in those 4 matches, whereas Incandenza & Mepps totaled to 4 points.

So close.... so bloody close.... so unbelievably, implausibly close... so close I can close my eyes and see the words "Inc & Mepps, TOP 500 champs" in my mind's eye.

And yet it's true: head to head, art and snus just murdered us.

This had to have been one of the tightest and best-contested tourneys in CC history, so congrats to all who played.

And congrats to the champs, art and snus.
