Austin, Tx - The NCAA is probing the Big 12 officiating crew that did the Texas-Iona game. The Longhorns won 89-58. Iona Coach Musicalmaven was upset "The refs just let them beat on us at the defensive end. Every time we had the ball it was come clobber the little guy time. My PG is on the way to Brackenridge Medical Center right now for x-rays of his heavily bruised forearm, and he never shot a free throw all night!" When Coach caz was asked about Iona's comments he stated "Well, we are very aggressive on defense and may have gotten a few calls but I think it was a fairly called game. I mean we had 5 fouls on the night, just because Iona had 45 does not mean it was unbalanced! Does it?"
Flex: won all 3 - 7,7,13 rounds.

After having an abysmal start to their season with only 1 win, Coach MC29 of TCU just shakes his head as the reporters ask how are you going to turn this team around. MC29 says "Well for one things these guys are going to be running a lot of laps for the way they have played. All of our starters will be on the bench this next game, maybe this will help motivate them."

I completely forgot about my team's name. I hope there are more winter themed tourneys, or cold-locale maps. We Penguins seem to thrive there fittingly.

After having faced 4 top 40 teams in their first six games, Colorado state is gleefully looking forward to facing another 4 opponents ranked 21 or higher before conference play starts. In other news they have fired their sports coordinator who did all scheduling for the team.

love the tourney flex, but there is no way that some of these maps should be allowed (such as pearl harbor). i thought you said you were going to change that for this years? pathetic that people would even pick it, but it just sucks when i go last in all 3 and then i am eliminated from half the map before i even get to take a turn. i dont see how that is fun, competitive, or entertaining in any way for either person involved. there should be size and bonus restrictions

I have brought back neutral courts for the postseason partially for that reason, but during the regular season I prefer allowing people to play on maps they enjoy most. But you're right, some home courts may be more of an advantage than others for those specialty maps.

Standings have been updated through completed action in Game 7s...still some in that set remain unjoined. I know I've received some alerts for players that are away for a couple days, but if you haven't joined a Game 7 yet and are able to check you inbox for the links...or pm me and I can reissue them.
We have four unbeaten teams left and three of them are out of the Ivy League...quite impressive.
Congrats to Columbia, Harvard, Cornell and Utah who are still chasing perfection

Game 8s will be going out Friday morning.

Los Angeles, CA - The #11 University of Texas Longhorns went into the loud & raucous Galen Center to face the #23 USC Trojans and found out what home court advantage is all about (damn - dbandit - I Hate that map!) as they were manhandled 91-58. Coach Caz after the game had this to say " Well, we called a timeout after 1 minute hoping to quiet the crowd. They were as loud as an LAX runway during an Blue Angels Flyover. After the timeout they kicked it up a notch and sounded like we were under the Space Shuttle as it took off. We had to switch to hand signals to call plays but my team was so frustrated at that point that the only signals they wanted to give was a not so polite way of calling the Trojans #1! I will discipline those players after they get their hearing back because right now it will do me no good to lecture them." Big 12 is looking into the incident as well.
Flex lost all 3 - R7, R8, R9
