the ? is who will hit 4K ever again?
it's been 6 months

and we all still waiting, maybe it is harder, but I thought with the rumors with all the point inflation this would of been accomplished by now?

The point inflation only means theres higher scores at the top of the scoreboard. As for the people who join the public triples games set by you and other team players, those players are still going to be people with low scores that don't know any better, lol.
And yes it is definitely harder now that new recruits can't join, plus deadbeat cards/armies go to the partners. May never happen with the new rules...

Well, I am not sure bro, I think 4K can be reached again, I almost got over 3600 again, so did gibbom, yosevuk, and bilbo was darn close.
I was trying to tell Sully and others months ago that I didnt think 5K was reachable, maybe in a year or two, maybe, but not anytime soon just way too hard even with the point inflation.
I realize 4K has only been reached once in the 20 MONTH existence of CC, but I do think that will be reached again by someone mm17, I just cant believe it has been over 6 months now and no one has done it, maybe just much harder than i realized, and people have been trying.
but 5K i dont see that happening again for a long time, unless someone wins a battle royal and gets 2,500 points for 1 game, but that is ridiculous I think to credit that much for 1 game.
my 2 cents

clint eastwood rocks
as i said earlier I think 4K will be reached again and just marveled that it hasn;t yet, but 5K, well, maybe 2008 or 2009 or longer, so hard.
the question again was who will get 4K next if anyone? i was thinking yosevuk? but not sure, it could be jr or wild tiger, those guys are pretty determined

i play poker online as well and although you need skill, luck pays a heavy part in the game as well.
And in risk as you imagine luck is even more evident as it with dice rather than cards. Add to that the luck of placements.
Also you got to take into account experience in the game and the map and settings you play

hulmey as you and anyone that knows anything about poker there is some skill and some luck, just like risk, however the luck part is fair over a long period of time as we will all get the same random luck.
i think all would agree that it is more than just luck like poker. anyone can beat anyone at any given time in risk and football and poker or any sport, however, if you play the poker for a long period of time, years, the best players keep winning, and there is a reason, they got skill too, same as risk, yes there is some luck, but the all have the same about of randon luck over the course of a year or less, there is a skill factor too, if it was all luck and all random, then after a year, we would all have the same rank if we all played the same amount of games, we see that this is not the case.
there is a reason phil helmuth for example has won 10 wsop bracelets, he is not luckier than all other poker players, ye he has some luck as all do, but he has other skills that some do not, like knowing the math, the odds, the percentages, reading people, tells, body language, bullying, etc.
risk at cc and anywhere has skill too, it was one of the reasons i liked playing chess and risk more than any other board games when i was younger, there was more skill in these two games than all others board games i have played.

sully800 wrote:But anyway, the reason I said it should be # of games instead of # of days is because someone who plays twice as many games at a time wouldn't be better in my book than a person who reached 3000 just after them in # of days. Anyway, it doesn't really matter because you can't go back and calculate how many games the person had when they first reached 3000 (at least not with the ease of how many days it took them)
