Oh man I remember this game. When you torched someone, didn't they let out a blood curdling scream, and end up a black smoking heap? I totally remember playing this game at my friend Jasons, but I never bought it myself
I'm putting in a guess of Jagged Alliance 2, but I'm pretty sure that's not it
Yup, which is unfortunate if they happen to have a keycard you needed.
You can also hijack the enemies security mechs and kill them with it. Or melt their faces with super hot gas or acid vapor or whatever those convenient little valves hold.
And I think it's on of the the few isometric games that came out before Diablo hit.
But it isn't jagged alliance [didn't notice the guess]

It's the N64/PS version, titled simply Rainbow Six.
Wait, you are talking about this screenshot right?:

Right?
Cus the first screenshot came from GameSpot's Rainbow Six PC version, not the N64/PS version. The screen shots on GameSpot for the PC Version are way different from the N64 Version, and the PS version is just like the N64 Version. Its weird that they look so different.
I think the thread has descended into chaos, who guessed what and whose turn is it?

If you bought the original games [as in the huge ass boxes] they had a crapload of backstory material like propaganda newspapers, field guides, etc.
The main enemy is an evil mega corporation.
It is set in the same universe as the Wing Commander series [which i previously did not know] but is sort of like a prequel as it happens a few centuries before. The events here though apparently contribute to the formation of the Terran thingamajiggerunion in the Wing Commander series.
The industry is trying to convince us Left 4 Dead has a new and refreshing co-op concept, even though similar games have been around for an odd 20+ years. L4D is still a fun game, but never forget the classics!
