Yes, anybody could be the cop. But if anybody else is the cop they would have stated nate's claim as false. LSU is the only who hasn't posted since nate's claim, meaning he is the only person who could both be the cop and have proof nate is lying. Can anyone please tell me why you are not voting this guy? Good lord. Now he is deducing who the cop may be and letting people know (IE scum buddy). Unless you guys have day talking mafia at this site and I'm unaware this is horribly anti town either way.

my guess is 2 or 3 mafia, 1 cop, 1 doctor, 1 seer, 1 angel, 1 or 2 werewolves, and 1, 2, 3 vanilla townies (including 1 that might have wolfsbane).
I am not sure I believe a deputy role. If you were mafia, you would need to claim a role that no one else has and no one else could deny to look innocent.

My suspects:

Nate (for reason mentioned above), spiesr (wanting to bring cop out of hiding), dunc (claiming me out of no where, possibly trying to get me because I am on to something)

Really you have constantly pushed for the cop to claim and continue even now to give hints.

Just because no-one speaks up doesn't mean its 100% clear that nate is town, in fact it makes very little difference. Im sure there are many people here who if they were the cop they wouldnt claim if they didnt know about the deputy as it puts a big target on their back and is not even assured to be correct, their could be a deputy he did not know about.

Im beggining to agree with farside, I reckon the mafia could be speisr/ nate not sure about the werewolves yet but next on my scum list is space.

I think this is NV (non vanilla) but im not sure.

The reason I clamied I was not the cop and posted my other responses is to raise doubt as to who the cop is.

If nate's claim is true then the cop would only be able to investigate on the nights that nate can't. So by looking at their role the cop would know for certain if nate is telling the truth or not. So if the cop can investigate only half the nights nate is telling the truth and they say nothing. We therefore believe nate's claim as nobody countered it in any way. If, on the other hand the cop can investigate every night then nate is lying and the cop (in my opinion) would say that nate is lying and we would lynch him as scum (or werewolf). The doctor&angle would then protect the cop.

Since no one outed nate as lying I believe he is telling the truth and we should move on.

Why the quick change of the vote then? why not just state that I was acting scummy? That was a pretty quick trigger pull, no?

I also am starting to rethink Nate, while the deputy claim I believe flase, I am not sure of the reason, might be legit, might not be, but the more I think the more I feel it is legit.

I am keeping my vote with spiesr until further notice.

spiesr you really want the cop to reveal himself the cop knows that if hes lying its best to keep himself hidden and reveal himself later in the game while with an extra scum prehaps so thats 2 for the price of 1

That he should wait and risk us never finding out if he get's unexspectantly night killed? You are also acting like the cop would instantly die if he came out now. But what if we g oto lynch nate and he is telling the truth? Their could be a cop who does not know about the deputy. Your post earlier about the cop getting an alterantive night investigation i think is worng, i think the cop gets an investigation every night.

Im worried about the influence of farside, not long after joining he diverted the nate lynch and picked out speisr instead. I wouldnt be surprised if you turned up as nate's scum buddy as you also put a good suspicion on me as well (nates prosecutor) without coming outright and defending nate. Maybe Im being paranoid but ive got my eye on you.

I'm not saying I believe nate or not. I'm giving him a night to prove his claim which Sierra mentioned as well. I had the same thought to see if nate is truly deputy or lying scum.
