i don't know your current rating, but if i played you and gave you a 2 on fair play cuz you farmed me and 4 noobs on the map and settings of your choice you wouldn't think thats fair

or even if you played me 1v1 on my settings and i gave you a 3 cuz it was just an average game, you wouldn't be happy... the numbers just got inflated really fast

Your moving away from the topic and making no sense at all!

Keep it down. I'm trying to listen to the nubmers. Don't you know they're especially quiet?

Besides, the average doesn't need to be the middle number. There's a whole world of numbers outside of high school.

he's almost 20... he has to be out of high school by now...

and what i meant by average was that if all the users on cc are too lame to use the actual criteria for rating, and thusly give 5 as a score any old player can get, 5 becomes the average score via inflation and the fact that if you took all ratings and averaged them, it would probably be closer to 5

You dont get it do you!! 5 is excellent...Having checked the ratings you have left you have given 5 to almost everyone. Why is this?

because the first few ratings i received were all 5s.

based on that, i decided to start giving people ratings if i played good game with them.

i'm not sure if you discriminate based on rating, but i know some people do, and most people who see something hovering about a 3 would believe that the person with that rating is a poor player.

i wish i could say that yes, 3 should be given as average, but because of the trends, one cannot help but give based on them.

like if the first year you donated to a fund, everyone decided that 10 dollars would be ok, you would do the same. but if they started thinking, 10 is the average donation, but i can give so much more and still mean the same thing, you wouldn't do the same? and if you were one of those who started giving more, wouldn't you look down on those who are still giving the amount that is just right and average because they're not like everyone else?

I still hate the number system, it becomes more galling each time I get rated. this last one gave me five stars for attendance and no stars for anything else. Now where's the sense in that? At least with the feedback system I would have a chance to answer or justify the game, this tyrannically imposed system allows none of that.some poor sport can damage you without any recourse. I'M NOT RE-NEWING MY PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP. I SUGGEST IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE NEW SYSTEM YOU DO THE SAME.

Back to math class for you... There is NO math law that says that average=max/2.
