I think there was something else waiting from Ruben too.

I just need to make a minor graphic tweak to the large version of the map and then I'll need someone to do the coordinates for me.

I should have some free time from work at the end of the month (fingers crossed). I'll try to do the graphic tweak and post the latest images. Yeti has done most of the coding apart from the centring, so hopefully this should be finished in the coming weeks.

Hi Ruben!

1. Grammar Correction: please, correct "LEGGENDA" with LEGENDA.

Morever, if you wish to use a fluent Italian, I believe "LEGENDA" only be much better than "LEGENDA DELLA MAPPA".

2. In my opinion, tower bonuses are a little bit confusing and I am going to think about some good suggestion for them.

3. What about enlarging the map size in order to get bigger texts for regions' names? Or anyway, to find a solution to make regions' names more easy to read?

Good job,

I have (finally) made the small graphic tweak that was long overdue.

I'll be contacting Yeti or Zimmah to see if the XML can be finished and hopefully I'll post the updated images in the coming days.

Sorry for the long wait.

Haha thanks mate. I've always been here but was limited to only playing games as I was swamped with work and real life commitments.

And the Gods of Mapmaking looked down, and lo, the effort of Ruben Cassar was noted, and they so noted on his work the official stamp of Quenched. At least that's what I advocate. This thing has been here FOREVER.

Are we just waiting for an amendment from 'Leggenda' to 'Legend'?

No it's written leggenda in Italian.

The XML has been checked out by Forza and is valid. However, coordinates...

Small map:
Ca'Melone looks low
La Venezia is off to the right
I Laghi is low
Fiorentino might be one pixel low

Large map is more difficult to tell, because the circles are larger, but to me...
the following look high: Ca'Vagnetto, Corianinno, San Mustiola.
Segiano may be a bit too far left.
And Faetano, Chiesanuova, Casole, and Fioretino might be a bit to the right or low - not sure how but they're definitely off from the rest.

The more I look at the large map, the more i see coordinates that seem just a bit off-center... I just pulled up your jpg in photoshop, and it looks as if you've got some circle trouble. I Laghi, for example, has a circle with a 24 pixel circumference. Next door in Seggiano you have a 25 circumference circle. So I Laghu looks good, Seggiano will always look off in comparison.

Do I care enough to ask you to go in and fix all of the army circles? No. But what I do think you'll want to do is to find all the coordinates that are going to be off by a pixel and make them skew consistently in one direction: I would vote for having them just off to the left, since Seggiano looks good and the shift won't be as pronounced when dealing with three digit army counts.

I've updated some of the coordinates... here's the updated XML...http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/1/9/2 ... marino.xml

The small map should be fine now. There are a couple of numbers on the large map that look slightly off, but there's not a lot else to do without making the circles fit to the numbers ;-)

I'd personally rather see army circles that worked, but given theses circles this is probably the best it'll be. Lovely map, looking forward to playing it!

It'll be out soon - now it's just a matter of Andy and Lack having the time to put to stamp it and put it on the server. =D>

          Beta - Quenching

---The Final Forge period has concluded for the San Marino Map. All objections have had their time. The Foundry and I hereby brand this map with the Foundry Brand. Let it be known that this map is now ready for BETA Play. After an extended period of time in BETA and once all quirks and issues have been resolved, the map will be put into Full Play. (barring any Lack vetoes).

Conquer Club, enjoy!

just in time....
i'm italian and i'm pretty sure that the correct word is LEGENDA, not leggenda.
Leggenda means popular story, myth.
Legend=LEGENDA

from word reference

Principal Translations/Traduzioni principali:
legenda (spiegazione) nf legend (explanation)
