Yes, and can you also change the colors to what we had before?

I like the way it was before...

Also, why the boat? I preferred the usual dotted lines.

Thats just my opinion ;)

the concept of the boat and docks is wonderful. it adds something visual to the map, a maritime feel, that makes it different from others.

change the bay to the gulf, since “the bay” is hudson bay, which is on the left of the map. let the boat have a colour that contrasts with the sea, since it's difficult to see just now.

draw a bridge to connect montréal with montérégie, québec city with chaudiere, halifax with cape breton and acadian coastal with PEI. the last one is called the confederation bridge and replaces a dotted line sea route.

http://www.confederationbridge.com/en/m ... /index.php

draw a white dotted line (short water crossing) to connect halifax with PEI and gros morne with duplessis, then remove the dock from gros morne. grand falls can already attack the boat, so i think it's not necessary for adjacent gros morne to do so.

change saint laurent to bas-saint-laurent (or to bas-st-laurent if it fits better). there is another place nearby with saint laurent in the name that we are not showing on the map (haut-saint-laurent, which is part of montérégie), so we can't use saint-laurent on its own.

the army circles on mauricie and saguenay are now in a better position than before. perhaps the one for lanaudiere can be moved a little bit to the north-east.

it's good to have a nice-looking update at last, instead of my plain, untextured drafts! u can remove the "un-official" in the title, now that both co-authors are here.

it's a good idea to split south Quebec,

Abitibi, Mauricie, Quebec, Charlevoix = Rename to " Center Quebec or Mid Quebec "
Outaouais, Laurentide, Montreal, Lanaudiere = same as "South Quebec"

I think the bonus for south Quebec it's too important "6".
I suggest to add a port on Baie-James

Very nice job =D>

I am not a fan of the boat at all. I prefer the original dotted lines. It looks really busy and hard to see, not as obvious as the dotted lines. I just don't get why a boat is better at all.

Montréal and Gaspésie should have an accent on the e. Check the other French spellings as well...my French is "rusty".

What is "The Gulf"? Is it part of a specific region?

the gulf is a sea territory. i suggest that we colour this territory middle blue, as i have done below, to make it more obvious.

Unit_2 wrote:its hard to see the black boat on the dark blue water.

the black boat is still difficult to see, even on the middle blue water.

Lone.prophet wrote:so than i give it a nice fisherboat color is that ok?

i agree, why not make it a friendly-looking wooden fishing boat? the wood colour will stand out more against the water.

Riazor wrote:Also, why the boat?

valeria wrote:I just don't get why a boat is better at all.

apart from visually tidying up the many sea routes, one of the ideas behind making a sea territory (the gulf) is to make it slower and more difficult to attack a continent across the open sea, for example nova scotia to duplessis continent will be more difficult than nova scotia to new brunswick. this goes some way to addressing oaktown's first comments on this map (from ages ago).

oaktown wrote:you have a lot of natural impassables in this region (water) but you have so many bridges and dotted lines that you don't take advantage of them.

the gameplay and graphics don't give me any sense of the region's flavor.

the boat symbolises the fact that, to cross the open sea, u must board a boat.

I suggest to add a port on Baie-James

i think the mid-québec continent above isn't suitable because the four territories are in a straight line and, going clockwise from south québec, there is no choice about which continent to attack.

a port on baie-james doesn't make sense because there's no reason for baie-james to be connected, through the gulf, to the maritime provinces.

for further discussion of the continents (suggestions for mid-québec especially welcome), i have posted below a draft where i have moved abitibi to great north, moved saguenay to mid-québec and merged manicouagan into port cartier (calling it manicouagan). the actual location of manicouagan tourist region is shown below.

http://www.tourismecote-nord.com/en/carte.asp

i have also moved magdalen islands to duplessis continent, so that both small islands which are surrounded by the gulf territory belong to the same continent, making duplessis continent slightly easier to defend.

so that we don't have a territory and a continent with the same name, duplessis continent is now called côtes-et-îles (shores and isles) in my draft map. the only name i can find for the region that includes duplessis territory is côte-nord (north shore), but duplessis continent includes the south shore too. gilles, is côtes-et-îles a good name, or will something else such as côtes-du-québec (shores of québec) be better?

in the bonus legend, i have shown the gulf as a continent with +0 bonus.

I disagree with you for the port on Baie James, for exemple see map of Malta and many others it's just to have an other way to attack the Baie James. Bonus 4 Cote et Iles it's too important. Add a territory for Island only :?:

You really understand what i'm saying before, very good map ;)

personally I really hate the boat/gulf as territory idea. I understand that it makes the attack routes simpler, but it will also require you to somehow explain what is going on. Right now it is unclear, and you'll need to redo your legend.

And it is confusing that some islands still have attack routes, while others do not.

For your title and sig use the same effects you did for the terr names. The glow you has doesnt fit so well :)

Also can I see a mock up of the small? Make sure that wont casue any major issues.

I didnt ask you to work on the small I asked you to give me a mock up so I know that no major concerns will turn up.

You missed a dot to Magdalen Island.

Labrodor needs a bonus of 2 not 1.
