Hi wisse....nice to have you back....
but like ogrecrusher...you guys have had over 3 months to comment on the quality of things on this map....and i am not buying your comments.
The map will remain unchanged...and i don't care what the foundry process is. :)

Cains I understand your point :)

But while we wait on andy it wouldnt hurt to change a few flags would it :)

It is a very minor and easily missed point to miss in such a busy map. Remember that if you dont do it now, then someone will jsut ask again in forge.

              Final Forge

---The Battle of Gazala Map has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry Furnace (okay, maybe not) and have examined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. If after a reasonable amount of time there has not been any objection or protest, the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. As long as there is still discussion or posts that have yet to be commented on, the map will remain in Final Forge until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.

Post questions and concerns if any.

The outlines around the airstrips looks a little too solid, perfect, and 'pen' like, as the lines on other objects are faded and soft.

Would it be possible to alter the image in the top left? Perhaps fade it...so that it is softer and doesn't pop out so much? The text might be a little more pleasing then, and perhaps more readable.

The free french flags have been adjusted, and the britisih flags softened already...watch for next version.

While I object in words i sometimes don't carry out those actions.

But i make my point...this map has been in foundry for three months and everyone has had enough time to comment on it....including Andy.

While i understand we all have different time tables Gimil, i don't appreciate someone coming in at the last minute asking for changes that could have been touted long ago....regardless of what the foundry process is.

And this has been my policy and attitude since Cairns Coral Coast map when Andy tried it there on the continent bonus borders.

If Andy has something to say, then he too can participate in the foundry process when the map is in development and not leave his comments until the very last minute.

I don't appreicate it one bit!!!

Thank you for final forge, and thanks for following up on the comment of "fixes" when the map is split into two version. I think you could give the mapmakers a bit more courtesy than that. :)

I beleive we have visisted the image situation previously Andy on 20 Dec.(p11)
The upper left, "On 26..." and "Objective" look kind of dull. Though they do match and correlate with the bottom legend, the text seems to be crying out for a little bit of flare and flash.

Nice of you to follow this up 7 weeks later...

I will see what i can do.

Yes wisse... i know this...and your experience with your China map and the frustrations you have with that map where everyone want things changed over long period on final forge....you should know what it is like to have this happen...so i ask why u do it to someone esle?

However, I am genuinely pleased to see you back and thank you for your comment....i just angry with people who want changes and have three months to make the comment and don't make it in that time.

I do like to give people the changes they want.

Wisse...sorry, but since the Foundry is an unrestricted forum, you did have three months...you chose simply not to comment in that time ( for whatever reasons).
Not my problem i'm afraid.

Yes Wisse...i do understand :)
and the change you requested for the UK flag in legend has already been done...the indian flag i can't do much about as it all very small....and i doubt if that stroke will make it look better....
c.....i did take notice and respect your input :)

Thanks for commenting cvhef69, athough i hardly find a few lines on a map hard and confusing. Keep your eye out for Galapagos, that may be more to your liking. :)

Sorry, here is the latest. I hope nothing changed.

Also, on the bonus legend listing things needed for Axis Partners, "Italian" should be "Italians".

Good looking map.
