To me it looks like you're not even trying.
There appears to be plenty of space to move territory labels around and have better placing of those army circles.
The real problem is finding a font that is readable at such a small size.

O cam one, think logical, just look Western Germany or all Western Front, where you see space to move names and to put Army Circle.Do you think that i dont try. These is not loke World 2,1 map, because these map go more Vertical, and europe map must go horizontal. And i need space.
Territory labels-you mean borders?Western and eastern front is original maps, and its a same to quenched maps.
Re: WWII EUROPE(page1-13 new update 14 dec)waiting size approw.
if you want, send me the psd and I'll show you that there's enough space.
If you agree, I'll PM you with my email address.
Territory label I mean the text. The names of the terriories. Hamburg, Kiev, Belgium etc...
By the way, Western Germany is not a problem since you have the names listed on the top right of the map. You can remove the text altogether and just place army circles on the map itself for that area.

No these is not Western Germany-these is Sigfried Defence.

Re: WWII EUROPE(page1-13 new update 14 dec)waiting size approw.
I only did the western front because that's where the most issues come up I think.

Notice that the main problem is the names of the territories. I still think it works though. Sorry about the brightness but I had done ten or so before I noticed the army circles were so bright.
If you were to number the territories instead of using names this would be very easy.
To buy more space you could also use army circles that mibi used in Battle for Iraq! Those were a bit smaller but still could be centered. It'd buy a tiny bit of space on each circle which would help here.
I hope you take this and try it out because it is doable and your map can move ahead without needing to go around size issues.

still a bit cramped, does it need army circles - im guessing so
make the circles smaller i hope?

They dont need to be that opaque...it could help to lower that.
This is definitely workable.

I think that these will be very confusing for players, expecialy with 3 digit numbers.
If i put numbers instead names, how will these look? Its to sqeze.
But if people think that these is Ok,but we must heard what MOD thinking.

Yes,hulmey these is only experimental map from Edbeard, and Circles can be change in every moment, but space and size of map is main problem here. Maybe we can create some compromise, that small map be like these and that large(840px)be more apropriate for game, because small map(630px) it very dificulty to create to be readabile and apropriate for game.
I send message to Gimil and Andy to give hes opinion abouth Edbeard experiment.

Qwert, I'd be interested to see a mock up with your choice of darker army shadows...since they will be the ones that would most likely be used. Then we can get a better picture of clarity and spacing (with the names included), but it may look promising.

What these mean?

like a test run or a rough draft. Basically he wants to see your version of what I did.
Though, if you can use the size army circles that mibi used in Battle for Iraq! that would help even more

lower the opacity of the stroke around the text, and enlarge the text. The army circles are good though!

Its easy to say enlarge text, but then you will have problem with circle and Borders>
Re: WWII EUROPE(page1-13 new update 14 dec)waiting size approw.
text size seems fine to me!
Re: WWII EUROPE(page1-13 new update 14 dec)waiting size approw.
I can read the text at its present size, but it's not so easy on the eyes. If you can reduce the thickness of the white outlines, you can increase the size of the readable text without using any more space.

I ask Andy,if be possible to get permision for same size like world 2.1 have(700px). These might help a little, because 630px its to small.Aim waiting reply.

630 is what we've got work with unfortunately. Perhaps a different font, or follow some of the previous suggestions about the the text.
