Week 10 picks (no week 9 for me and no Thursday night game for me): Win - Eagles @ Packers - Eagles defense is pretty good against the run. I predict low scoring. Loss - Jaguars @ Titans Loss - Bills @ Steelers Loss - Raiders @ Giants Loss - Rams @ Colts - People are saying Andrew Luck is MVP this year. Win - Seahawks @ Falcons - Blowout. Win - Bengals @ Ravens - This is going to be an ugly game I think. Win - Lions @ Bears - I really like Detroit. I wish I could watch this game. Loss - Panthers @ 49ers - This is going to be an awesome game. Harbaugh is a better coach than Rivera. Win - Texans @ Cardinals - Arizona has a sneaky good defense. Win - Broncos @ Chargers - I went back and forth on this, but San Diego's defense is not good enough to win. Win - Cowboys @ Saints Win - Dolphins @ Buccaneers - I went back and forth on this one too, but Dolphins have to be devastated right now.
What a weird week.
This week - 8-5 Overall - 59-25 Winning Pct - 70% (not bad, if I do say so myself)
I just realized that next week has some really good matchups and just generally important games.
Denver/KC is obviously big. NE/Carolina, with the Panthers absolutely rolling and the Pats getting healthy is huge for both conference races. Saints and Niners is also gargantuan. If the Browns beat the Bengals they'll be within a half game, if the Titans beat the Colts they'll be within a game, if the Skins beat the Eagles they'll be within a game and the Giants/Packers game will decide who'll have a chance to make the playoffs going forward.
Here is what you have ALL been waiting for. And I totally won't gloat about calling the Panthers like they were (mainly because I got a bunch of other things wrong, like the Giants for example). Slight mods to the formula this week, so more jumps than usual.
Argh! Two consecutive weeks of lethargic picks. Denver vs Kansas City happens twice over the next three weeks and both teams have all their wins over teams at or below .500. I'm thinking Home Field is the difference in this series and feel this is the best time for the Chiefs' perfect season to end.
Raiders go into Houston with a better record than the Texans, which says a lot about the unpredictability of this season.
Week 11
Colts @ Titans . dunno what to think here, but Indy's been better Jets @ Bills . Defense & Rushing game should prevail Ravens @ Bears . Ravens sucked last week & won, this week they'll just suck Browns @ Bengals . time to end the skid Andy Redskins @ Eagles . Hmmm... someone has to win the NFC Least Lions @ Steelers . only bad weather will spare Pitt from Megatron Falcons @ Buccaneers . A win streak for Tampa Bay! Really? Cards @ Jags . Doubt Zona turns over the ball but they will be blitzing Raiders @ Texans . Houston may find a way to blow this upset pick. Chargers @ Dolphins . Fish lost their mojo Niners @ Saints . Who Dat in the Super Dome? Packers @ Giants . No Rodgers makes this a toss up. Vikings @ Seahawks . Hawks are the toughest at home. Chiefs @ Broncos . can KC's defense slow down Manning? Patriots @ Panthers . Carolina's been good, but don't count out the Pats
Colts @ Titans - Another close one; I could go either way since Titans are at home. Jets @ Bills - I guess I'm back on the Jets bandwagon. Rex Ryan is doing an awesome job. Falcons @ Buccaneers - Atlanta is definitely done. Lions @ Steelers - Detroit looking like an easy playoff team. Redskins @ Eagles - I will keep picking Philly to lose at home until they prove me wrong. Cardinals @ Jaguars - Nothing left to play for for Jacksonville now. Raiders @ Texans - Raiders absolutely stink. Ravens @ Bears - Bears are definitely done. Browns @ Bengals - Too many injuries for the Bengals. Chargers @ Dolphins - Dolphins are definitely done. Packers @ Giants - I certainly hope the Giants lose this one. Vikings @ Seahawks 49ers @ Saints - What's up with San Fran? Chiefs @ Broncos - Will not be close. Patriots @ Panthers - Toss up here.
I realized I picked a lot of away teams, which is never good.

7-6 this week, 91-55 overall. Pretty rough week, wish one of those bad picks had been in the Bears-Lions game.
IND @ TEN Both guys are looking for a bounce back game, tough call. NYJ @ BUF It just feels dirty picking the Jets to win. The Chiefs are probably going to blow us out on Sunday because I'm saying this, but this is the first non-third string QB they're facing in 4 weeks. Not to mention all of the previous three games were one possession.

What's going to be good about this game is that KC hasn't allowed more than 17 points in a game and I don't think Denver has scored less than 17 points a quarter (heh heh).
Denver is beat up pretty bad as well. We'll see soon enough.
Week 11 Colts @ Titans . Indy rebounds, slips past Tenn Jets @ Bills . ouch... the Buffalo stomp Ravens @ Bears . more twisters than you can count Browns @ Bengals . Cincy rolls again Redskins @ Eagles . Hmmm... Philly leads the NFC Least Lions @ Steelers . Pitts not dead yet Falcons @ Buccaneers . A win streak for Tampa Bay! Really? Cards @ Jags . Zona does enough Raiders @ Texans . 2-8? Get your bags out Houston Chargers @ Dolphins . Fish defense shows up bigtime Niners @ Saints . Who Dat in the Dome? Packers @ Giants . No Rodgers... Vikings @ Seahawks . Hawks are tough at home. Chiefs @ Broncos . look forward to the rematch in KC Patriots @ Panthers . Newton tosses 3 TDs and Carolina prevails in a nail biter.
big movers this time: the bills went right back to 22, where they were two weeks ago. the vikings and redskins each dropped 4.
of my underdog picks, my ranking correctly identified that houston, redskins and falcons wouldn't cover. i keep expecting to wake up from those 3 bad dreams, but that is not what the numbers say. same with 49ers.
obviously, past stats can't take into account rodgers being sidelined,
the chart incorrectly picked the steelers game (who i wanted to win to keep it a close race for GB to stay in the race) and the chargers loss.
all in all, my power rankings correctly identifed all games but 3. the books got 4 wrong (jets, lions, chargers, texans were all listed as favorites) yay

This is what happens when you pick a lot of away teams.
