Neither do you see that for basketball, football, hockey, lacrosse, literally any other sport. I never understood that.
BECAUSE THIS IS MERICA!
And soccer's like, European, or something.

We therefore request that you return anything not directly descended from aboriginal american cultures that forms any part of your society or culture to europe, preferably by means of large tall mast sailing boats, seeing as you reject european things

+1 (except apply the reductionism to all sports, not only soccer)
I don't really get watching sports (playing can be fun). I'm guessing you have to be somewhat emotionally involved in the result for the experience to be enjoyable.
Edit: Basically this:

Please start a subforum for the discussion of why soccer sucks so much. Here's a reason:
Soccer players are walking advertisements. BOO soccer!

The game is just way too short; they like never stop the clock. A 90 minute game with a 15 minute break between halves can take two hours to play. And what's with the secrecy regarding stoppage time?
I mean I got this great seat at Yankee Stadium, padded and everything and all those Chelsea fans stood up for the entire first half! You don't see that at a four hour baseball game I can tell you!
Since there is only one break, it is way too short. The line at the consession stand is far longer than 15 minutes, by the time you get back you missed a good third of the second half.

I don't think there are any sports I'd rather watch than play.

I'd definitely put professional American football on that list, but only because I'm frequently a coward who likes having his brain work decently but isn't above seeing people get paid to risk brain trauma, although it'd be really nice if brain trauma weren't inextricably linked with American football THREADJACK.

Champion's League final games of round one are on tomorrow and Wednesday! Woohoo!
Wednesday's games happen to fall mere hours after I finish my last exam for the year, and heavy drinking is as much a part of my training to become an accountant as the Advanced Financial Accounting: International Corporate Accounting course is, so this should be a good time.

Soccer blows for another reason: SOCCER FANS
Remember that pathetic loser who set himself on fire in South Korea, OVER A SOCCER GAME? Or that other weirdo fan who killed a player because that player sucked. Soccer is fucking awful.

Good video by the way. That illustrates one of my pet peeves rather nicely.
