I've never really understood Dariune. He could have the entire forum on his side and give it up in an instant. I don't think I will ever be able to understand what goes through his head sometimes.

*Dariune's triumphant return. The word seems so familiar yet I am sure I have never heard it before. Is it possible that this is something I myself once thought and I just don't remember? Or possibly just a vague dream left on the horizon? All I know that this is not the first time Dariune has turned away from this site and it certainly shall not be the last time either.*

People used to think that I was a little unstable, but they later realized I was just a dreamer with a very vivid imagination.

It would be a strange world. On a different line of thought. What would you guys think if I did one of those narratives more often?

*Robert woke up. The sound of the alarm clock echoing through the room brought his mind to the painful reality that was his life. It was a school day. Yawning as he got up from bed, he considered turning his alarm off and going back to sleep. The dream echoed in his mind, having not disappeared amongst the confusion that comes when waking up. He imagined that face as he walked towards the window. She was stunningly beautiful with long, silky reddish-brown hair that cascaded past her shoulders. She had a soft, hauntingly pale tone to her and her bright green eyes had seemed to penetrate into his very soul.
*He raised the blinds and looked out onto the green grass and the trees, the morning sun just barely illuminating them as it began to peak over the horizon. "at least it will be sunny," He said to himself as he returned his attention to the alarm clock, which was now playing an old Bob Dylan song, "perhaps I'll let it play a little longer."
*He walked over to his closet, and shifted though his shirts, quickly picking out a red polo and a pair of tan cords. He didn't really know why but today seemed different. Somehow he felt that things were going to change.
*After gathering his clothes together including a clean pair of boxers he grabbed a towel and went into the bathroom, turned on the water to the shower and stepped in. He thought about his dream. Usually by now it would only be a fading memory but today it seemed to remain vividly planted within his mind. He remembered how the woman had led him deeper into a maze filled with amazing statues and towering walls that reached far beyond the top of his head. He didn't know where she was leading him but a voice inside of him, possibly her voice projected into his very mind, told him to follow. He had wanted to see where she led him but it seemed no matter how far he went in the maze only got deeper and more ominous. Yet he did not give up and had almost reached her when he had been woken up by his alarm.*
*He turned off the faucet and got out of the shower to dry off. He had never been the one to put much thought into a simple dream but for some reason he felt like he needed to find out what it meant, before it gnawed away at his mind.
*Finishing getting his stuff together for school, he picked up his bookbag and headed upstairs. He knew that there would be more important things to worry about today and could focus on his dream later if he could still remember it.*

Sure, yours is probably better simply because you've had time to edit it.

Agh! Dammit. I just remembered I threw a book out that had one of my stories in it.. But it's all jumpy and stuff so it probably didn't make sense.
ANDDDD, on that note, I hardly edit things..
Buttt.. somewhere in these forums there's a story that I wrote recently. But it kind of drags on. Let me find it and put in what I changed around.

You probably read this, but oh well. I've added a few more paragraphs and extended some bits.
The City Of Verdammt, 2nd Era, 2342
The last Era of the City of Verdammt ended in reprisal. Up throwing the old government has lead Verdammt to be less dank, less depressive, but it has not helped with the pollution, or the rat infested alleyways. Dirty clubs and bars still cling to the dim passages, where many people still dance, drink and smoke their lives to death.
Nothing can change what has been done to the citizens or their outlook on their out washed lives, so no one tries to except a few religious safe havens. Food is scarce, so the only edible thing is a small, lumpy, circular shaped substance called a “Red Moment”, which was designed in the last Era to feed the masses of population springing up through out the city. New advertisements are showing on the local Eastern Sector buildings about a new “Blue Moment”, which will be released at a more expensive price. No one knows how exactly it is made, but it’s food, so they don’t enquire.
Citizens are told that beyond the city walls there is no actual life, no way to live, and that it is a worst existence to their poor lives of that moment. Being told that beyond the walls of Verdammt, there is a vast desert with harsh wings, where you can see the bones melting of dead men and women, even children, who have tried to the reach Verdammt. But before they reached the relatively moist area, they collapsed and let the hot sun dry them out. Some citizens have dared to venture outside the city walls, but none have returned. Those trapped inside the city would never know the outside, and all they do know is the newly built HAL-9000
The latest and most reliable computer-robot of Verdammt is the mechanical high-tech security system – the HAL-9000. The HAL, as everyone calls them, is foolproof in every way and is totally incapable of error. It keeps everything in check, and no one can cross a HAL, by it watching and noting everything that everybody does. There’s HAL’s in every club, every bar, every building. No one can escape the latest security system; no one can escape the mechanical beings. Many HAL's are placed in the western section of the city, because there is where most rebellious and religious persons are found. Many of those are placed to death before spectators of the lower-class structure in the Western Sector for wild amusement and entertainment.
A slight breeze of fresh air from an unknown source flies towards a dank and dark passage of the western section of the city. The Western Sector is the red-district, home to all prostitutes and even the homeless. Where the middle class go to satisfy their needs, and where the main factory for Red Moments is located, it is home to 68% of the population of the City. HAL-9000’s line the narrow streets of the Western Section, watching who goes there and what exactly happens. Crime is at a high in this Sector of the City, but it cannot be stopped, so no progress to stop it is made. All that happens constructively is the watching of the HAL-9000's.
This is where the Pit is located. The Pit, as it's known, is where all anti-government and high-crime bidders are put. It's a hole in the ground near the God Warrior's house, and where all the inhabitants are starved to death. Slowly but surely each prisoner will die in their own filth, grief and other niceties, including, obviously, starvation. If the prisoner of the Pit is not dying fast enough, the God Warrior, as his name and rank suggests, sets in deadly insects and animals found around the city to eat the starving, which lets them die satisfactory. The smells that are cast around the Pit are horrific and will strike anyone with pain that comes close enough to smell the death and screams that lie around the hole.
The God Warrior of this particular moment of time is Jack Torrance. Torrance is 34 years of age, with a light black tinge to his otherwise gray hair and green eyes that are normally thought to stare into nothing. When he walks, he's accompanied by a slight limp. He lives away from the government building which is named the Deathbed. Instead, he choose to live in the Western Sector, so he can get to the Pit easier and take care of other personal matters. Personal matters which did not include the Electrohead. Jack acquired the privilege of God Warrior when he was 26, and while earlier God Warrior's were brutal in their work, Jack is different in that remark. He makes the deaths quickly so the prisoners do not suffer as much. God Warrior's are the finest and highest ranking police unit in Verdammt, and they only answer to the highest ranking government official, the Electrohead.
This probably bored you out of your mind. I'm not the best writer, woo!
