how come the league grid of games (right above the standings) never equals the standings when you add up the games?

i've wondered this all season as well as all of last season... finally decided to ask

They always add up, the challenge is that the away games are backwards when you add them.....

ok, gotcha. i was reading only horizontally.

I've got us at 51-11 (45-9 when adjusted to discount the 6-2 TDKOC result). It would be nice to see how the other guys are going.

I'll update everything this weekend. Marv has been very busy and I've been working 14 days and weekends along with my 2 hours commutes.

What does GB column means and what exactly the numbers in that column mean in the league standing tables ?

Anyway, thanks for the answers. Freakns is correct, baseball is something i have seen several times in telly, dont know how it is played, dont know rules and what is goin on on the pitch. Ahh, not to forget, i have watched it in some cartoons 15 20 years ago.
Today there is wiki, any dumb can ask what is anything.
I am now old to learn it, but if only i had wiki (even hard-cover form) when i was eager to learn.
Wiki can not be editted online if ever it is published in hard cover form, however i dont care, or not my concern. At least for not.
