I personally enjoyed "Lord of the Flies" when they had us read it over the summer, however the people in my class hated it. I guess my two favorite things is how Piggy dies and Simon's revelation about the beast/tragic downfall.

You can work my age out precisely with a little research from the following story: I read this book 'cos I wanted to. they never set us anything so interesting at school - they never gave us anything later than the nineteeenth century ( and Dickens was considered "recent"). I don't know if you are aware that they made a movie of this - an excellent movie, and quite chilling. It was showing in my local theatre. It was an "X" certificate. (adults only). When I reached my sixteenth birthday in May, "X" meant "16 or over". The rules were changed in June or July so that "X" meant "18 or over". This was the only "X" movie that I saw legallly for almost two years. And (given that as a 16- year old I could still get away with half-fare (under-13) on public transport), I didn't get to see any "X" movies illegally either.

After that, my second favourite dice is the eight sided one that my space commander uses to roll with when attacking into moon territories or defending in the same.
Nah dude you're wrong
The d12 is the runner-up for best dice ever. You use it when rolling for hit points for a barbarian. The d12 is ownage okay?

In the book, I particularly remember being facinated by the idea of establishing the rule that if you hold the conch, you get to speak. And then, when Piggy holds it, the rule stops working, and he can't understand why.
That was funny. As a whole through the book other than the major themes of the beast and the degradation of society, I also liked the disagreement between the two alpha males, Ralph and Jack (I think that's right anyways).
