you only have to defend North Greenland, victoria island and Baffin island. 3 defending territories, 5 countries. just like africa in classic map with bonus of 3.

I do not think it will take that long. The flow if the game is going to be more circular so attacks will be more frequent, thus leading to a quicker game.

This isnt going to get quenched immediately just so you guys know.

Just looking at it I can see lots of not centered numbers, but I'll let andy pick those out.

I still think that the Ice Cap should get a bigger bonus than 3 with all those borders. I also still think that Iceland should be part of Scandinavia not Western Europe but no one seems to mind that apparently.

well, the ice cap isnt meant to be a continent to hold, more one to just travel across the map.

Yes, agreed, but it seems a bit not worth conquering that's all.

Of course it's worth conquering...or at least worth taking bits when you are traveling. Consider the Ice Cap as the 'Quad' in the CCU map. The Quad is a bridge territory, to connect many points of the map. The CCU map, the Quad can be a great thing to hold, as you can keep other opponents in check. If you manage to hold any piece of the Ice Cap here, you can virtually do the same. And if you do manage to hold it all, you get a nice little bonus, something I think is generous.

Regarding the Iceland thing, it works fine in a Western Europe, as if you look at any Europe map, it is usually the farthest west country. :)

Wikipedia -- Western Europe wrote:...The island-states of Iceland, Malta and Cyprus are generally considered part of Western Europe, but most of the time they are simply ignored.
I think it works fine.

Anyways, Speler, if you like, I can go through and tell you all the coordinates that need to be centralized more, or if you like you can do that bit on your own. Let me know. :)

Hey it's not fine that my country is ignored! Poor little Malta. :(

Btw, even Scandinavia is part of Western Europe. Scandinavia is a subset of Western Europe if you like. However Iceland is part of Scandinavia and it shares common culture, language and ethnic make up with the rest of Scandinavia.

Sure, but there isn't anything wrong with having them in western europe either. Both are right, and for playability reasons, it makes more sense for western europe.

When centralizing, try to keep consistency in where they are. For instance take a look at Arctic Alaska -- that one looks spot on!

So, what I will do, I'll base all centralizing off that particular country, and I'll tell you all the countries that I believe are FINE.

  • Chutkotka
  • Amur
  • West Sakha
  • Irkutsk
  • Tomsk
  • Vologda
  • Finland
  • Svalbard
  • Ireland
  • Quebec
  • Prairies
  • Yukon
  • Barents Ice ... is close
  • North American Ice ... is close
  • Ukraine ... is close

I think those are the ones that seem to be pretty spot on with Arctic Alaska, my choice of centralization.

If I understand you, the Color Blind Script isn't an official CC add-on so we will not make adjustments for it in army shadow centralization and size. ;)

Hehe. I was just kidding. However I use the colour blind script and some of the numbers are pretty off target in quite a few of the older maps.

That's because I wasn't around then. :) Have to look at things in context. If we had people that wanted to help centralize them, they surely could do that! But people rather complain, than take action.
