A couple of things to check...
Goto "tools" -> "Error Console" -> "Errors" Tab
Are there any errors in here? (I'm assuming there won't be as when the Laptop is connected at home it works fine)
If not - then I can only assume it's the connection speed (Air cards are pretty slow in comparison to wired networks)...
Can I suggest you use "Full Logs = Yes" -> It the "Site Options" menu.
This will ensure that all games are loaded with a full log to start with - eliminating the need for BOB to download the Log.
Note that this functionality doesn't work on the "goto next playable game" link

Game 2409145 has a strange bug where the screen hangs at "Creating Statistics Table" indefinitely. The error log says "c is undefined." This has started happening mid-game, which is odd. If I disable greasemonkey, of course everything works. My buddy (who's not in the game) says it happens to him too, so it may be reproducible by anyone.
This only happens in that game. BOB works great in all my other games.
Thanks!

I appreciate your taking the time to answer me. I checked the error log and it shows:
Warning: Unknown property 'filter'. Declaration dropped.
Source File:
http://static.conquerclub.com/lightbox/lightbox.cssLine: 1
with further details:
#lightbox{background-color:#eee;padding:10px;border-bottom:2px solid #666;border-right:2px solid #666}#lightboxDetails{font-size:0.8em;padding-top:0.4em}#lightboxCaption{float:left}#keyboardMsg{float:right}#closeButton{top:5px;right:5px}#lightbox img{border:none;clear:both}#overlay img{border:none}#overlay{background-image:url(overlay.png)}* html #overlay{background-color:#333;back\ground-color:transparent;background-image:none;filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src="static/lightbox/overlay.png",sizingMethod="scale")}
I changed the full logs to yes but it had no effect.
The odd thing is I switched from satellite internet and this cell card is blazing compared to that- overall and with regard to latency.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Hi - the Lightbox thing is a warning... can you ensure there were no errors in the "errors" tab at the top?
No ideas really... if it's quicker - then it should work - unless there's an error somewhere - or you've inadvertently turned off javascript or something?

BOB keeps freezing on a creating statistics table that appears now, even after I have turned it off on the BOB menu when I load up a game, which is a bit of a bugger as I'm trying to use it for these Waterloo games, which I barely understand what's going on even with BOB on.

If you've turned it - off yet it's still appearing - sounds like you have 2 installed...

Great script, many thanks.
Feature request: please count neutrals as own territories so the safe box is shown instead of the risk =, when a territory borders only it's own and neutrals.

A valid concern...
I shall consider changing that in the next version.

It looks like this is a Firefox 3 specific bug. Bob worked okay with FF3 Beta 5, but I got the RC1 today and FF3 didn't like greasemonkey, so I switched back to Firefox 2 for CC. I don't get the bug there, so it appears to only happen in FF3.
Thanks,
S

Ah yeah - there are a couple of FF bugs in FF3... RC1... does that mean "Release Candidate"? Hmmm - looks like they've got a bug to fix already then!!

hello mate,
The map inspect has changed so it highlights territories with 2 horizontal parallel lines instead of a 4 sided box around each relevant troop count.
I take this as a bug(? ) and not a new feature as i can see a box in one of my territories too.
cheers,
jim

Okay, so a new bug I just encountered.
http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=2456802 is where it happened.
This is the log of my turn.. I will interject what my actual physical actions were;
2008-05-18 18:32:04 - Game has been initialized
2008-05-19 14:10:12 - Tieryn receives 3 armies for 10 territories
[I clicked deploy for 2 on rostov]
2008-05-19 14:10:35 - Tieryn deployed 2 armies on Rostov
2008-05-19 14:10:39 - Tieryn deployed 1 armies on Maykop
[I then moved the box to sevastapol where I Wanted to deploy the other 1, and hit the button... and it said "Invalid Attack"]
[Warily, I tried to attack Novorossiysk from Rostov, 5v3, so I clicked attack (no, not autoattack)]
2008-05-19 14:11:06 - Tieryn attacked Novorossiysk from Rostov and conquered it from SalvatoreLuciano
[Somehow it ended up with the advance screen. and it was 2 to 1 (so it can't have been autoattack that would have stopped at 3) so anyway, I click advance one, it does, and then ends my attacks]
[oh, so I have to fortify now... that's funny... anyway. I'll put 1 into novorossiysk from sevastopol]
2008-05-19 14:11:32 - Tieryn fortified Novorossiysk with 1 armies from Sevastopol
2008-05-19 14:11:35 - Tieryn fortified Rostov with 1 armies from Maykop
[er, hang on... something's not quite right... "Tries 1 army rostov to don"]
2008-05-19 14:11:39 - Tieryn fortified Rostov with 1 armies from Don
2008-05-19 14:11:47 - Tieryn fortified Velikiye Luki with 1 armies from Polotsk
2008-05-19 14:12:01 - Tieryn gets a card
[err... what? a card? what now? why did my turn end?]
And yeah, that's where I'm at... err.. wtf?

Wow - Either you're smoking crack... or you've got clickable maps installed...
BOB can't possibly do anything like this - so if this is a bug - then it would be a browser/site/user bug.

I am using Firefox 2, and have had no problems with BOB in the past. BOB refuses to work with WWII Ardennes. It will show me the statistics, show me what I own, but it will not let me take any actions, including deployment, attacks, fortification, and heck, ending my turn. Also, instead of highlighting all of my territories green (or blue) in the dropdown box, some were a far lighter shade of green (or blue), almost white.
Examples:
Game 2484940Game 2484622

I'm on holiday next week - so it won't be until I get back...

On the New Ardenees WWII map, I keep having an issue where as it is constantly "loading statistics tables". I have to disable GreaseMonkey every time it's my turn on the map =\
EDIT: Okay I guess that's been reported already... I'm unfamilar with the threads and didn't see there were other post =S
sorry

I had the same problem with the Conquer Man Board. Bob got stuck at the initializing stage and I had to restart the computer. Only this board, other boards were fine.
I fixed it by reinstalling Firefox. I don't know why this worked but it did.

I don't think BOB is working with one of the new maps, WWII Ardennes.
It just stays locked on "Initializing Statistics Table", and won't go any futher.
If I disable BOB and restart Firefox, I'm able to take my turn.
Hope this is the right place to report this problem. If not, can someone get the message to those who need to hear it?
Thank you.
