Is this an argument against the idea of merging? It seems like you both could benefit from having additional players. Mutual benefits.

No, it isn't. AFOS has members that were previously removed from ATN. I was simply posting to update those potentially interested in the fight to stay in the Premier Division, although it's kinda funny since we won't be playing CL9 anyway, and I don't think RET are either. Also, we have always been a small clan, that's ideal for us; we just suffered in recent times due to veteran players leaving the site.

Awwwwwww crap Caff, really? :(
Both ATN & RET brought some quality to the league.
The Prem will be a lesser place without you guys.

Will we have an 11 team league or 4 coming up? :-s

Please don't try and give us false praise. Many consider ATN to be a mediocre clan and it's quite apparent, albeit incorrect.

We're no longer interested in playing small matches with little meaning, but will instead be dedicating our time into larger wars and competitions. The bonus side of this is that you'll see ATN in more contests that we've previously avoided.

What I see when I look at clans is this:

A clan's performance can be mediocre during a given time period. That doesn't mean the players or the clan itself is mediocre. Player availability, both absolute (to be on the game at all) and in terms of amount of time and focus they can spend on the game as well as general motivation can dictate performance during stretches for a clan.

Some competitions are fun and not really super taxing (Crow for instance) and others like CL or CC can be very taxing and it depends on the player base you have to determine how many you can do at one time. Clans like Fallen, TOFU, LHDD, and S&M to name a few expect to (and do) play multiple rounds of CC while other clans bow out quickly. Early rounds for those clans are usually not too taxing or difficult but as the rounds advance they level of difficulty increases greatly.

TOFU and (although I don't speak for them I imagine) Fallen are disappointed in their performance in CL...but those clans both had the CC final going on during the meat of the CL season - which is at the least an interesting coincidence. I'll even go so far as to say TOFU's performance was mediocre in CL.

As good as I think we are, it just makes me realize how good those S&M teams were that could win both competitions.

Technically, so could TOFU once upon a time.

RET is not in difficulty and is not planning to merge with anyone - we are here to stay hopefully - lol. We have been a bit over-stretched and weakened over the last few months due to the loss of good players due to real life, who in principle and hopefully will return in good time - at least we are still in contact on different social platforms. I have also been the only active leader for many years, and the commitment with our participation in all clan events has been taxing, but nothing I can't handle, but I'm not the only clan leader in this situation anyway. We will definitely plan our next season differently and improve our overall approach on different levels.

I think we could now. But they did. There is an important difference between being able to do something and doing it.

I was just referring to the forfeit.

RET are like our twin clan. Similar issues, single leader (although ATN has always been that way) and similar levels of ability.

We prefer not to think about that. We've moved on.

3 clans are still in the race, with slight chances for LHDD and fair chances for TOP and S&M.

With 32 games ongoing, LHDD is theoretically eliminated from the race.

S&M already won 35 points while LHDD can reach maximally 35 with lower GD.

That leaves TOP and S&M in exciting race for the top place.

S&M has secured 35 points and can reach 36 if wins Gallipoli.
TOP has secured 31 points but can reach 37 if wins 2 points vs TOFU away, FALL home and FALL away.

In case of the same points between S&M and TOP, S&M will win due to better GD.

TOP home vs TOFU - 1982 they have now surely won. We made a mistake when ahead (or a win more play rather than a lose less play) which allowed them to come back. KC2 looks advantage TOP, but I have no clue how the map works. They have now secured at least 1 point with 1 more if they win KC2.

So, judging from the previous 2 posts, it looks like the Fallen will decide the destination of the title...

Also, as best as I can figure, Fallen need at least a point to finish above us in the top half. So, gooooooooooo TOP!!! =D>

Incredible run by TOP to pull both those games out vs TOFU

Not blaming any clanmates heck I'm in the crucial 1982 game, but I think this is more on TOFU than on TOP. We are losing to S&M too and got slaughtered by LHDD earlier on (even with a forfeit). TOFU has definitely performed below expectations in the last few rounds.

A good portion of that is my fault. I'll be 7-7 in the three series in question and I'm stinking up the field in poly also.

Why would I do that? I obviously don't care enough about the ones I'm in now.

I think that was his point. FOED also wish you had played more poly matches against us. :P

Well, ATN will be finishing our last season in the League 7-1 at home and 6-2 away, so that's nice.

I and many of us never wanted to play poly in the first place, it was quite a narrow vote to play it with many players not wanting to play at all. We made the finals anyway. That says more about you than it does about us. I'm filling in games to make the numbers. I had to do that so we weren't forfeiting games.

Could you try to make an answer a bit less arrogant ?
People were joking around and you come here saying that even playing against your will you are still better than the others.
wow !

Jeez, lighten up please. Of course it was a joke. Try not to be so sensitive.

Neither I nor Ice Pack have ever had the time, the desire, the intent or the personality to go around criticizing or attacking people.
Full respect, always. 8-)

Looks like TOP is wrapping it up after TOFU pissed 2 games down their leg & Fallen gave back some early leads.

Yes, we have to analyze some things. We are going to (or have) lost 0-4 to LHDD, 0-4 to TOP and 0-4 to (S&M), the only other top five clan we performed reasonably well against in CL was Fallen and we clearly lost out on getting as many points as we should have against them. None of the losses look to be 7-1 or greater wipe out losses, but still it needs some thought and reflection. I know what my part in the debacle was, but it clearly wasn't just me.

I think there is a chance that Fallen pulls out Das Schloss or Labyrinth (not as good) though.
