Interesting that Clever jumps into action within 13 minutes of vodean's post...

Hm, the saf case isn't very strong, but I am still suspicious of why he seemed to fish for further elaboration of a vodean's claim, I suppose now is the best time to get things done. Vote Saf

That's why I aren't voting. I'm not in full approval of the case but will help if needed.

so what you're saying is that you dont support the case, but will vote on it if it becomes popular

This is one reason I left the vote, has no other input but will play the safe role of hitting L-2 and sideline through.

im with you, but think that we cant forget saf either.

clever, he never contributes. posts max one or two lines and votes. thats it.

No you can't forgive him because both of you basically turned it into a personal battle between you.

Well at least one person sees what I'm trying to say & it is ironic how vodean complains about S7C's one liners.

Deadline is in place for this Sunday night. Lets say no earlier then 8 PM, but any time after that till midnight is fair game for deadline.

strike wolf... i wasnt offended by anything he said, and didnt intend to offend him. i see how some people might see it as offensive, and to those who were offended, im sorry. thats not how it was intended. im not sure if saf feels the same way, but i really would expect a mod not to partake in flaming.

edoc - 8pm in what time zone? im assuming EST, but it could be GMT or something else entirely. please inform.

jonty - yes, i post a lot of short posts, but like i said there are a lot of long ones, too. Considering that like 1/3rd of the total posts since game start are mine, then i feel justified in many of them being short. i still say as much as most. and with these short senteces, i can get a lot said. e.g this is a 5.5 line post with 13 sentences. a lot of info.

Wait, I'm confused here, I thought you were unhappy that jonty was posting 1-liners not s7c, are you guys talking about different people here?

I thought vodean was complaining about you jonty.

Honestly, given that it's day 1, I'm not expecting a whole lot of long, well thought out cases, and really, post length is not as important as said content of posts. Also, constantly counting your post length to prove they're not 1-liners seem a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy for me.

Which you yourself claimed it not good and I see as basically a way for you to get back at me for making you claim. Can't defend myself if there are no new accusations.

there are new votes though, and that means that there is newfound interest. the case isnt great, but its the best we have. jonty being the other notable.

I'm more interested in Jonty than Safari. S7C and him have kind of started to defend each other from accusations.

is that a soft or hard deadline?

im good with either case, and do see a stronger case in jonty, so unvote vote jonty. jonty, you and S7C are defending eachother, and you have been BW-jumping. i will look over my notes for more info later tonight.

Based on these games, hard.

vodean wrote:you and S7C are defending each other,
I haven't defended S7C.

The only BW I've been on is you and that was only to get a claim from someone acting quite scummy and I have already stated that I will only join the saf wagon if we need one more for a claim/lynch and no one else is willing.

you were on the BW on me both times. voted late-in, and unvoted late-on. now you are saying you will BW saf if it is the popular BW. SCUMMMMMYYYYYYY

This is quite true. If you don't feel the Saf case, just plainly say it. If you do, then why the hesitation. Other than I agree it's not a great case..

I took this as your defense of him. It's admittedly weak but there. On his side, he's been defending you since your case re-emerged.

thanks. yup. i forgot to add that part to my post. clever has done most of the defending, but its a little back and forth. lets pressure him for a claim and see if he puts himself at L-2. i wouldnt be all that surprised.

I'm @ L-3, and might struggle to reach my computer for the rest of the weekend so I'll claim now. I am Vé (Lightning Rod). Once per night I may target someone and they will target me instead of their original plan. i.e / is cop and targets saf, I target /. / will investigate me, not saf.

Vé doesn't even have his own wiki page, and doesn't have any real description on that wiki page. What little description is given doesn't line up with Lightening Rod to my eyes.

Vote Jonty

To be fair, he shares a wiki page. But if his major claim to fame is being a brother, this sounds more like a mason role or some sort of linked sibling role rather than lightning rod.

Hm? When's the last time I've seen a lightning rod? It must have been years ago... Back when Minister Masket used to mod.
It screwed up everyone's results back then, but this variation seems different, still not extremely useful though, probably not a big loss based on believability to utility.

Lost track of the votes. Mostlly in agreement with the others about his role being weak. Last I can remember seeing a lightning rod was Haggis' SK mafia. Worked differently. Jonty's role almost seems more like a magnet.

by my count that puts jonty L-1 with everywhere, DJ, me, pancake, saf, and / voting jonty.

i think there is a decent case, and jonty's claim does not have its own wiki, nor is the role even mentioned in the mafia wiki.
