This challenge might be over soon considering what happened in round 1 and the unforgiving drops / first team starts of round 2.

I think it's going to take a heroic comeback in round 3 for us to have any chance.

It's far too early to call! But if you guys are tired and not feeling heroic, it's ok to just take it easy. ;)

first team starts???

it is 13-7 for tofu in 1st team starts in round 2, and 11-9 in round 1 (24-16 total) so I dont see where do you counted unforgiving 1st team starts =D>

I wish 20-0 for tofu in 1st team starts in round 3, to see what will they say then. just want to know if somebody will then say that we had great luck in 1st starts (I expect so).

yeah, I did wonder what Knighty meant when he referred to the starts. We got a pretty fair share in R2 it must be said. In the singles not so (and the 1v1s are where 1st turn matters the most). 1-4 and 2-3 making them very tough to recover from. But some of the drops - ouch! Vancouver, Berlin, the latest Supermax, USApocalypse - all looking rather irredeemable. I don't think there's a single game where we can say "Hey, we got a great drop!". Not to worry though. We've overcome adversity before and there's still a way to go.

I agree. Anybody who thinks this war is over has another thing coming. This is far from over! There is still a ton of fighting to be done in this one!

maybe Hive game, 1st drop gives you 24 stacks advantage (12 plus instead of 12 minus). so, 24 stacks advantage connected with unlimited forts I think is enough to say "Hey, we got a great drop!".

Negative. First team starts where it matters (e.g. D-Day with 12 terrs, singles, ect)- sorry to not be totally clear.

Nope. Hive is one of the maps where 1st start is really inconsiderable. You can't get anyone below 12 deploy anyway so it is not about high drop there.

A couple of things mate:

i) Either your maths is slightly skewed or your terminology needs amending. A 12 deploy cannot be construed as a "24 stack advantage" (which would be a 24 deploy). Perhaps you're thinking of 'differential'. i.e. being +12 instead of -12 after one turn. This of course is immediately negated on Turn #2 (in a game such as Hive where the deploys remain at 12 for so long) unless it is 1v1 wherein playing first is hugely advantageous if an opponent's territories can be substantially reduced.

ii) When I refer to 'drop' it has everything to do with the spread of the armies and nothing to do with first turn, so I'm not quite sure how my statement was taken in the context of playing first. As I say, I've yet to see a game where I think we've been lucky on the drop.

ok, I told before that will try not to discuss about luck, as discussion about that is pointless.

yes, we are much more luckier than you are, we have got a lot of great starting drops (probably that is the main reason why we are leading now).

all I may say good luck to tofu, maybe then our extraordinary luck will be annulled O:)

There's no doubting KoRT's ability, they are a quality clan with with some very skilled players whom i have long admired.I'm really enjoying this challenge though...walkovers are boring..there's nothing like some stiff opposition to really bring a clan together, you had better watch out moo cows, you won't like us Odd Fellows when we've got our hackles up

I thought we did that when we beat Empire? Just seems a bit backwards, unless you think TOFU is head of heels above you? Until now TOFU had not taken on anybody in the top 7? Lets see how this pans out.

P.S. Thanks for the praise.
