Don't mock it till you try it. I played football all through my Elementary and Jr. High career. This year I'm playing soccer and I love it.

The reason I don't like soccer is that the teams don't score very often. For a 90 minute game, to only have 3-5 goals scored, it's pretty boring to watch.

On the other hand, basketball is extremely exciting to watch because the teams score very often.

I'm not sure that I hate soccer. But I will not watch the game. I will not play the game. I appreciate the body of female soccer players (my wife was a collegiate soccer player), but that's the extent of my enjoyment.

That being said, I will not lambast those that love soccer. I can understand that some people find excitement watching a bunch of dudes run around a field while one of the dudes kicks a ball and the others watch (or both run AND watch... how exciting!).

I don't understand why people go out of their way to hate on one sport so often. You never see "I hate baseball and I'll express that in every conversation remotely related to it and even go out of my way to express that feeling" in forums, media, just in general society. Neither do you see that for basketball, football, hockey, lacrosse, literally any other sport. I never understood that.
