If you CC folks want to play a freaking insane game, go to WaW and start a sequential, standard fortification (1 army move at the end), fog, CMD (cards of mass destruction), card type 4 (each set gives a random number of armies from 3 to 10), using the Castle map.
You will be pulling your hair and scratching your eyes out. First off, the Castle map is simply amazing... the dead ends... and the dungeon... oh... the DUNGEON! Heheheh
Your crossword map reminds me of how I felt when I first played the castle map.

We need a Master of Ceremonies

Its quickly obvious that we need a single point decision maker for this tourney thing. Someone not in the tourney of course but also someone who has at least some familiarity with both sites.
I'm going to let you choose this person lackattack. AFAIC it can be you yourself if you want, but we do need a single person to guide this thing and make the rules for it.
So lets get an MC and we'll be rolling!

I'm up for it also. Me and my fellow W@W'ers can't wait. What about having both lack and BD head up the tourney?

I would love to represent CC, I used to play at WAW but took a long break and then came here...I was known at WAW as Harvard and was actually ranked #3 for a while, but then 1BGMXCN and RamboGin, MJS, MICHAEL and others took care of that! LOL...anyway, I am around and ready!

I remember you, Harvard. Good to see you. Come back to WaW and check out the new maps and options BD has implemented. Revolution! is a great option.

Hi! I'm coming over from WaW, too. I'm not ranked high enough to try for a spot in the intersite-callout, but it sure looks like a fun place to look around for a bit!

Welcome CC! Glad that you are part of the invasion. I couldn't think of a better person to be shoulder to shoulder, fighting with.

Hey all,
I think some friendly inter-site competition is a great idea seeing as both sides have some very skilled players.
If either side wants to enlist my services, I would be happy to represent.
Enjoy

As Bondra is active on both, I believe he is exempt from the tourney. Sorry B, no offense. At least, that is my understanding. If The Glorious Leaders feel otherwise, then who am I to say no?
If they do decide, then you should probably play for CC, as they will need the help.

I think the winner of the tournament should win 1 free month of premie on each site. That will be an incentive (perhaps) for the games to be a free-for-all, instead of team games in disguise.

I would definitely give the winner(s) 1 mo. Premium.
Here's my suggestion: Having two 6 person classic risk map games on each website. Each game will have 3 players from WaW, 3 from CC. There will be 4 winners, and a possibility of a tie between both teams. Even though it is single play, players from the same website could be allowed to make sacrifices to help one of theirs win the game. What do you guys think???

My rank is pretty crap but I'd be happy to play.

I like the idea, though I would like to see less cooperation amongst the players from each website. Though, if I were in a game and I had a choice to take a territory from a WaW or CC opponent, I'm sure I'd pick the CC player to attack.
I suggested in the WaW forums that to keep things lively, if one competes in the tournament, they are ineligible for the next few months. That way more players will have an opportunity to win the prizes and to represent their site. Otherwise, we'll have the same pool of players competing every month and it will be less about the sites and more about the top tier of players.
Oooooh! Why don't we have the best compete, and the WORST compete.

Pick the best 6 and the worst 6 as far as ranks go. Heheheh. That would be very interesting, indeed!

I know that BD would be more than happy to donate some premie time for W@W. If he doesn't, well, i'll just hunt him down and slap him around like a little school girl.

Sure! Free premies for the winners. I kinda had that in mind already anyway but wanted to sync with lackattack as much as possible.
And Lack, you're the master of ceremonies as far as I'm concerned. First thing is we need to sync on a date to end the volunteers to represent each site. Name the date and the next morning the representatives from WAW will be named.
The game structure you have in mind is fine too. Classic map I assume.
Cards type? I guess to keep it as standard as possible, probably the progressive style would be best.
Single or unlimited fortifications? My preference would be single. Requires a bit more thought than unlimited and reducing luck at least somewhat would be a positive step.
As for Bondra - I fear him as an opponent. He kicks butt I know. But I would NEVER disqualify him. He's too good to not include. However he has to choose which website he wants to represent. It wont be held against him or anything like that I'm sure. Heck, we've ALREADY got lots of dual-memberships now! It HAS to be that way. I sure wouldn't want to try and exclude anyone who has an account on both sites - pretty soon there will be no one left!

Who's site do we play on? How long can we practice on THEIR site? Details people! They are probably already scoping us out. Do I sound Paranoidy yet? I'm in. Can I go spying now?

I'm gonna sit this one out. I am a WAW veteran of many years and a personal friend of lackattack's, so i'd rather just be a spectator.
To help facilitate the battle though, i will offer up this bit of knowledge - The CC rules have one HUGE difference with respect to eliminating players. CC allows a player to turn in a set of cards in the middle of a turn after the elimination (only if he has 5 or more total cards). This is in sharp contrast to WAW where one has to survive to his next turn to submit his cards. This rule promotes and fosters a more aggressive environment and games do not last nearly as long. CC also tempts players to eliminate others more because everyone receives a card at the end of their turn instead of the start of the next. Therefore an elimination target always has an extra card for you if you can take him out. All other diferences in the sites are minor.
Good luck all
Once i see who is representing each site i will post the betting lines...

I have an account here and on WaW, but my loyalties are with WaW. No offense CC. I guess I just don't want to see Bondra playing for CC... you are right, he's VERY good.

I vote for Bondra, always an honorable and wise player, to officiate. As you are familiar with both sites, it only seems fair. What do you say? Oh wait... What do BD and Lackattack say?
