Interesting. Seriously not trying to be sarcastic here. I never looked at that particular prophecy in that way. The problem would then be that the Jews would have to be willing participants in the overthrow, torture, imprisonment, and degradation of their own people in the first place. That seems highly unlikely for them to be willing to go through years of being dispersed.

I don't think he was really saying that. Rather that the existence of the prophecy drove many to demand that Israel be established. In that way the prophecy became self-fulfilling. It spawned a political movement for it's fulfillment.

Interestingly enough there are some ultra-orthodox Jews living in Israel who believe that the establishment of Israel was wrong because it preempted the prophecy. That is they believe that the establishment of Israel should occur through divine means in the messianic age, rather than through political means now.

I see what you are saying and will be willing to concede that is very likely the case.

However, the fact that Israel was overthrown and lost their homeland was still part of the prophesy and I doubt they were (at least a good majority) self-fulfilling that prophesy.

This is sort of a different point that you're making now, and I'm a little uncertain about which particular prophecy you mean.

I think that you are referring to the prophecies in the Talmud, which was largely compiled after the exile. Do you mean the "Three Oaths"?

The shape of our bodies are symmetrical. Our spinal cord runs down the center so the heart had to either be on one side or the other.

The big bang didn't create us, evolution did. Also as we are made by evolution, why wouldn't we be symmetrical. What in the evidence of evolution states that we shouldn't be symmetrical?

Btw GDP per capita in N.Dakota is below the US average, so even if you say you do have common sense, you lack brains.

That's not symmetry then. I guess by shape you refer only to the outside of the body. In that case, of course, nobody is truly symmetrical and many people are born with pronounced asymmetrical features.

As an experiment, try taking a photograph of your face and then placing a mirror over half of it, reflecting and duplicating one side. Then repeat with the other. It will show that the two sides of your face are not symmetrical.

The United States Average is 39,700 some and the North Dakota Average is 39,300 some. North Dakota still ranked in the top half among the states. At the top were D.C. and Connecticut. There are not very many poor dumps in North Dakota. North Dakota does not have a large population in comparison to most states so it would be difficult to start a multi-million dollar business in North Dakota and most multi-millionaires would rather live in someplace with warmer weather than North Dakota. So we don't have as many super rich to bring up our average but we do infant have the largest income growth rate in the nation.
