Well done blitz/BW - the old masters beat the young turks in a hard-fought match. Just a couple of matches left to decide.

What George means is we're watching an epic deciding game.
The no 1 seeds looked close to having it a week ago. The 16 seeds defended aggressively and have now launched their own daring bid for victory. Watch this space.

Round 1 games finishing, round 2 games sent out.
Congratulations to all round 1 winners, especially nashlloyd and eaglesagent, who with some luck and much skill are still eking out a victory against the number one seeds from what looked a lost position.
In fact it's a tournament of giant killers. Just the many-times tourney champions Big Whiskey and Blitzaholic, and the creator of Greenland the.killing.44 and partner lanyards remain from the top half of the draw.
We move on to Greenland, newly out of beta but still our round 2 map.
Will it be a stroll home for the top-ranked teams or might the giant-killing continue?
Good luck and have fun.

wow what a game! would have to be my favourite yet in my time here. But it has to be said there was an extreme amount of luck with just one round of dice hurting halting the number seeds and massively swinging the momentum in our favour. But still we will take it!!

Well done blitz - just waiting on Nash & eagle again trying to grind out a 2nd round win - in your own time guys & no worries if george says anything rude.

Re: Beta Map Doubles Eliminator
semi-finals: games coming soon.
So round 2 played on Greenland: The big boys come through, without missing a beat or dropping a game. George & greazz qualified in double-quick time. Most pleasing of all our giant-killing no 16 seeds are still with us. Nashlloyd and eaglesagent barely looked ruffled by Greenland - they're averaging over 30 points a time in their wins in this tourney. All in all, Greenland proved a more conventional dubs map than Castle Lands, and the results went with the form book.
We're on to the semis. Our destination is Indian Empire, out of beta now & with nearly 2000 games played already. It's a trickier map than some. A balanced map, dripping in bonuses, with a whole range of tactical options, just 3 reinforcements each to start: if you guys prove a match for each other, we might get some close fought and lengthy games.
Will greazz help george get over his inferiority complex vis-a-vis blitz and give the horsemen a hard time? Can nash and eagle match up to the might of lanyards and the.killing.44?
Good luck to all, may the best teams win.

Great story. Lany's gone though, killing will prob. need a new partner. As for blitz and bw, great players, bring it gents.
