I thought the internet was developed by the military to assist communication
in critical situations where conventional links are severed?
Nuking Washington DC is also a symbolic gesture.
Of course dropping enough nukes would negate a lot of things, like healthy living conditions in all affected regions. Many areas would be rendered absolutely uninhabitable for many generations after such an event.

Do they include nukes?
Because multiple nukes exploding
in the same place would surely make blockbuster viewing.
Those bombers weren't carrying flares, that's for sure.
dogstar4god wrote:Also, why Fort Knox? That's one of the least strategic places to bomb
ok, where would be a strategic place to bomb?
I already told you...Omaha, Nebraska. Take out a third of our nuclear triad.

The military IS more vulnerable now, that is very true. However, everything is NOT tied in over the internet and regular phone lines. Not even close, for the highly sensitive stuff. The military is more vulnerable now because everything is tied to COMPUTERS (which really are easy to knock out).

Now this is what I figured I'd get by asking this question on CC.
I figured that someone would have some millitary strategy.
the wording of the paper says "the IRBM has been launched" so that indicated I have one missile from Cuba (it is the Cuban Missile Crisis, after all) to launch. I just have to wait for the school's servers to be reachable so I can bombard the lady who I think is my IB Bio teacher with 30 questions. (and her rubric has nothing on content in it. interesting....)
I'm getting caught up in the creative, re-writing history......
I'll hopefully finish tonight, if I can think straight
the 2nd page is amazing. i've asked this question several places; these are some of the best answers i've gotten.
thanks guys! keep em coming, if you want to

If I'm thinking like Krushchev, I agree with the aforementioned "taking out the US nuclear arsenal." That being said, as someone else mentioned, it wouldn't matter much. Krushchev would likely have known that too. So maybe he goes for the Pentagon. If you attack Nebraska, the US still has plenty of ICBM's to crush the Soviets. At least if you take out leadership, the Soviet Union has more time to take out the US arsenal.

I would have to send my one missile... oh here is a thought is it a multi-warhead nuke? Anyhow I digress... To answer your question it would have to be to NYC - specifically Wall Street. Reason and rational: disrupt international currencies while slaying every capitalist elitist pig dog. I would time it for the last fiscal quarter catching all the fat cats toasting themselves! I would then send my one banana boat (nuclear powered mind you) with my elite Cuban Cigar Commandos (Spetnaz trained of course!) right to Rockefeller Centre and plant my flag while buying american car parts and american made jeans... chew on that Kennedy!

Cooperstown North Dakota. There was a missile base in Cooperstown during the cold war. It has now been made into the Cold War Minute Men State Historical Site.

The Russians might even get a few Senators and Congressman on a fact finding investigation.
